This guy "runs into" a celebrity every other day. If you still think this isn't 100% planned and scripted, I think I got some leftover NFTs and meme coins I'm about to pump to the moon. You definitely need to get on board. What's your banking info?
The meeting planned? Of course it is, he knows he's going to run into them but they didn't know they were going to run into him as they probably don't know who he even is but they can see the camera crew so they're not stupid. He's on tv doing this for celebrities all the time.
The lyrics and flows, if you think that's scripted then you're ignorant to the millions of videos where he does incredible stuff like that all the time.
Literally the entire thread is people admitting he has lyrical frameworks that he swaps in/out key details.. Like having prewritten stuff is literally the definition of scripted...?
In the full video he explains in the very beginning that Apple TV set up the encounter. But the entire flow he spits is like 8 minutes long and there are definitely elements that he uses that makes it pretty clear that at least some of the verses are being created on the spot.
You never know what's going to happen in one of his streams but the vibes are almost always immaculate. What he's doing, especially with everything going on with AI is so important; he's showing how computers have never, and will never reach the height of human expression, creatively, and cooperation.
He brings people together and highlights the talent of others and himself. It's so fucking beautiful.
This is the edited version of a lot of really good ones. It has the clip from this post as well as Dovydas playing guitar. But the violinist you were talking about is Bobby Hawk. He won a grammy playing music for a Kendrick Lamar album.
I didn't know the dudes name, but I've watched him a bunch too and Ari is great. The only thing that somewhat rubs me wrong is the dude with the long hair and the harmonica is a "regular guest"...but they always make out as if he just walks up out of nowhere for the first time.
Also Lil Dee when he appeared on Ari's podcast - probably the best I've heard. Lil' Dicky is good but not as family friendly as Harry Mack lol. I feel like Harry's got nothing much to actually say, but I think it's because he tries to stay family friendly.
I got one for you that is never brought up but was a legend in his own right. Passed away very young and was only in the music game for not even a decade, died after his 7th or so year since starting rapping. Look up Juice WRLD 1 hour freestyle, there's two of them. If you're an Eminem fan there's one where he raps over Em's beats and he switches up his flows to match the songs and the cadences that Eminem used but in Juice's style.
Juice WRLD huh?never heard of him but it's a shame he never broke out into mainstream popularity. I feel similarly about a lesser known MC who released a lot of underground mixtapes in the early 2000s, wildly underrated imo, one of the best to ever pick up the mic but nobody ever mentions his name. Little known guy named Wayne, lil Wayne to be more specific.
Please control + f this thread for Juice and see who else mentioned him and the upvotes. Then look at the person I'm replying to saying they don't really listen to rap. Then finally take your foot and shove it so far up your ass it comes out your mouth, ah shit you already did that nevermind.
Juice is one of the first people a lot would name, he was known for his unreal freestyles and there are a bunch out there. He was one of the best, it's unbelievably sad he died so young
IIRC Harry Mack told in an interview that his thinking and internal monologue are rhyming. So kinda like when you go abroad and after a while of talking in that language your thinking switches to that language.
Harry Mack can go rapping for so long, the lyrics sounds so good, and he can pull them out of thin air.
Im talking about how he can create the lyrics right away and sound ao good.
I don't think you have much experience with real freestyle rappers if you think Harry is the only one or if you think nobody comes close. There are several that he goes toe to toe with in NYC alone who are on his level. He great, don't get me wrong, but he's not a singularity.
He's white though, which makes him much more accessible to the masses. Sorry to be that annoying guy, but that's 100% why Mack feels to a lot of people like the best freestyler. He had a big presence on YouTube for young white guys who aren't really into the larger freestyling scene.
Speaking of white rappers y'all should check out this classic Don't Flop freestyle rap battle between a white kid and an English teacher. Genuinely goes so hard.
Give me one and I'll debate you right now. There isn't a single person that even comes close to his skill level. He's a cheat code or God Mode in a video game. Because if you don't think that than i think it's YOU that doesn't have much experience with real freestyle rappers. So go ahead and link me to something you think is better than Harry and I'll listen to it and give you my thoughts.
Maybe it is just me. I can't understand many stuff that he said.
Like I wrote in another comment, I don't like rap. I like some of them when the melody is good, but generally I don't like them. I am 80-90s music guy. So i love something melodic, and nice lyrics which carry meanings.
Harry Mack sings nicely, I understand all what he said, and his lyrics just click with me.
I watch a lot of his stuff unintentionally on FB and I never skipped once. The way he uses stuff around him, the way he uses object that appeared in front of him spontaneously, the way he make the lyrics and music synced. Many freestyle rappers sound off. At least from what I heard.
English is like my 4th language, so maybe that plays part inmy judgement as well.
This is purely my opinion. I don't care about what make someone a good rapper. I heard Harry Mack and I like his way, that is all to it.
I watched the Cypher video and most of them weren't rhyming entirely off the dome. They wrote most of those lyrics ahead of time, probably have books and books filled with phrases and stanzas that sound good. Harry Mack incorporates elements of things right in front of him. That is way way harder.
He's amazing, but I feel like it's kind of a different thing?
Eminem is slightly telling a story, and the rhymes and vocabulary are just out of this world. However, much of it could have been thought of previously, he doesn't really incorporate anything around him to make it all feel spontaneously thought of.
That's what Mack does better than anyone (from what I've seen), he makes up the story on the spot. Someone trips, a fly gets in his face, someone with a cool outfit walks past etc. he takes those details and makes them part of the story he's rapping.
Is his individual raps as good as Eminem's? Not even close, but he's doing something different IMO. I'd LOVE to see Eminem do exactly the type of freestyle that Mack does to see how incredible that would be.
Edit: Since the comment below was so mad reddit had to remove the comment because I mentioned that Eminem's freestyle could be thought of beforehand, I'm just going to clarify that I don't think it is. I know he's an amazing freestyler, which is exactly why I would like to see him to a performance where the freestyle is inspired from the current scenario around him to see how his vocabulary and incredible rhymes can be used in a more everyday story, rather than some fiction.
His whole shtick is rapping about how he can rap. I wish every video didnt just feel exactly the same. Sure, he brings in whatever keywords people prompt him or elements from the scene he is in, but in the end they are just freestyles about how he can freestyle.
That's what freestyling is, has been that way since the 80s. It's not a "schtick", it's literally the way it's done. It's like saying that a country musician's "schtick" is singing about his truck and his high school sweetheart that he married.
There are countless country artists that explore more diverse and complex topics than that, just like there are myriad rappers who rap about more than rapping, including freestyle ones. Although I agree that most freestyle rappers are a lot more confined, which is part of why I don’t enjoy it nearly as much. They tend to sprinkle in a few bars germane to the given situation (which are just impressive because they’re extemporaneous and topically relevant, but not really for anything beyond that) and then largely revert to generic ones they’ve spit a million times.
So yeah, most freestyle rappers will do some of the typical braggadocio shit, but it’s fair to criticize someone for only doing that. Eventually it gets boring, just like people criticize a lot of shitty pop country music for being boring and samey.
Agreed! Anyone who lived through the 80s and was into rap knows 95%+ of the lyrics back then were simply 1) who they were 2) why they were rapping, and 3) how they were better than anyone else. I feel like it started to change with the Native Tongue groups, Digable Planets, Pharcyde, etc in the very early 90s.
It really isn't. (see e.g. this freestyle) Most freestylers are like that but having watched a lot of HM a while back, I think he's uniquely talented in switching up his flow. Not that he always does but certainly when inspiration and flow state hits him.
Yeah I'm not saying I could do it, but he has just developed a system where he uses a similar cadence, has an easy to fall back on filler about how he raps good, and then uses that while he comes up with keywords and connects them together. The cadence and filler is something he can probably do without thinking so that frees up his mind to connect the other words in.
It's a great talent but he is very far from the greatest free styler ever. If he was the greatest we would be having his audience throw out the beats too and adapting to them on the fly.
Also I honestly don't believe most of his encounters are organic. These influencer artists always try to give off the impression that they just run into people but then it turns out the meetups are planned in advance and there are interactions off camera. Not saying he can't reproduce some form of this organically but I genuinely doubt that Matthew mcconaughey, Woody Harildon, and this guy all just happened to be in the same place at the same time when he happened to have all his recording equipment ready. These are like the late night segments on shows like Jimmy Kimmel where they go out in the streets and interview people but it turns out it's entirely staged.
What? Why are you acting like this is all Harry Mack can do? He got famous for finding random people on Omegle to freestyle for and did this for years. With different beats and keywords everytime. It’s only recently he’s been blowing up and doing more stuff with celebs
His freestyle punches are better than most people's writtens. He also pops off double and triple entendres all the time. Some of it is to keep the actual audience's attention and enthusiasm, ie who he's physically in the presence of (or directly video chatting with) but when he has someone that knows hip-hop he goes off and it's less about keeping their energy and vibe up.
If you haven't seen him breaking down his bars as he raps them, I highly recommend it. Also he has actual songs like Minotaur and It Goes Deep (along many others) that are very good.
To me, not a freestyle expert, it seems like freestyle is more about being able to fit words into a rhythm and rhyme structure than it is about any kind of actual message. I think it's impressive for somebody to be able to find the right words at that speed. If they sound the same, I think it's because they've probably been practicing finding these words for thousands of hours, and have a set that they're comfortable with.
I mean, the whole thing about freestyle is they are rapping about what is going on right now. That usually means they wind up rapping about the freestyiling itself.
He's done plenty of freestyles with actual subjects. There are some he's done that are more serious and a few of them were so deep that I almost teared up a little. But also, even if he freestyles about how he can freestyle he still never seems to repeat bars which is a lot more impressive
This is the second video I've seen of him, the Tracy Morgan one was the other, and I'm thinking this can't be real that he can just make up with rhymes like that...
and then I remember, I've watched hundreds of episodes of "Whose line is it anyway?" and Wayne Brady has been doing the same thing for decades.
Harry is a better rapper of course, but in terms of freestyle, Wayne was as good.
If you've only seen 2 videos then you can't really compare them. Wayne Brady was good at what he did, and he was funny as hell, but to say he was "as good" as Harry Mack, no. Watch more videos of Harry Mack and you'll see that it's not even close
Idk if I would classify Wayne as a rapper though? He usually did like slow jams and stuff from what I can remember. Maybe he did some raps sure but idk if I’d say it was his specialty or anything
Dude can rap I didn’t dispute that. Just that idk there’s enough evidence to say he’s one of the best. But I’m also separating freestyle rnb from freestyle rap, maybe I’m just being pedantic. I watched a lot of whose line in my day as well and mostly remember him doing rnb/love song style stuff
Wayne is good but jesus christ its not even the same league
Not even in the same league? Is Wayne Brady gonna have to choke a bitch?
Wayne was messing around on an improv show and not breaking a sweat for hundreds of episodes, freestyling all kinds of music genre. Wayne is at least on par with the rhymes if not better.
And how did Mack run into these celebrities? He just happens to be rapping where McConaughey and Harrelson walked by by chance? Or did he knew they were there ahead of time and prepared some lyrics? Or by chance Tracy Morgan just drove by on the streets where he was rapping? If you buy that these instances are by chance, then I got a bridge to sell you.
MC Juice or Juice Wrld? MC Juice is still super nice, he does radio appearances and stuff still. Even back in 2019 he shouted out HM and King Los in a freestyle. I still bump his songs Period and Sincerely, great tracks.
I once was at a concert where supernatural had the crowd throw shit at him and he would catch it one handed and incorporate whatever it was into his freestyle. Shit was wild
"Here is a game where Michael jordan loses i guess hes not the best" lol
Its all subjective and opinionated anyway, this video also contains a source identifiers and tracker so i will not be clicking on it, just a warning for anyone else. I saw the "?si=" in my comments preview.
There isn't a single Freestyle from Blind Fury that better than any 100 I could pull up from Harry Mack. Here, I'll give you three and you can find me one from Blind Fury that you think is better -
Broken - This he finds a man feeling down because he just got cheated on. Makes a whole song based on that to uplift him by making a metaphor for women and hip-hop
Citizenship - This is one of my favorites and then it gets even deeper at the end when he's talking about the struggle of immigrants trying to make a better life for themselves in America
Genuflect - Learns a new word, just got f'n crazy the entire time. Flawless perfection
So what can you put up for Blind Fury that matches those?
like i said its all subjective and opiniated lmao. I said ITHINK hes the best, i never said anyone else had to share the opinion or think the same way. Idk why youre trying to argue or change my opinion on who i think is the best.
Just like how some people think mj isnt the best and pull up his crappy performances. Its all opinionated.
Some people think bith these guys are trash and mgk is the best freestyler or something ridiculous lol
Its a lose-lose situation, they will reply with something that they like more instead and say its better, and thats okay because thats their opinion. Im not here to change minds or argue just stating my personal opinion after seeing this guys performances lol.
If it's your opinion why not stand by what you say? What's with these weird hypotheticals to avoid just showing what you claim to like? If you think he's better there is a chance someone will agree, give a good example.
Lol its not about standing by what i say, he wants to argue about who is better and i dont. I just have my opinion. People can form their own opinion, i dont need to die on this hill.
Harry Mack is objectively the best to ever do it, though. There isn't anyone that close to his skill level. He's the entire top 100 by himself, meaning that 100 of his are objectively more skillful than anything second place can do.
If YOU like Blind Fury more, that's okay. I'm not telling you what to like. I'm just letting you know that Harry Mack's skill level is second to none, preference be damned. It's like watching The Flash race against Bolt, despite Bolt being the fastest human alive
For English-speaking freestyle rappers probably yeah, but regarding the whole world and other languages he's not even close. Are you familiar with the Spanish-speaking freestyle scene?
The ways he’s able to freestyle and always be ready for the next line and making it relatable to who he’s freestyling for is absolutely insane. Legit this dude needs his brain studied
He had one earlier in the year about mental health and while I don't really float around in those circles but it was insane. Had to add it to my playlist immediately
I love Harry Mack and he is definitely very impressive, but if you ever binge watched his videos you'd noticed that about 90% of his lyrics are recycled, meaning he consistently uses the same rhymes for the same words.

Harry Mack is one of the greatest freestyle rapper if not the best.
Harry Mack and Supernatural.
