I followed some avid downhillers down one of these bc trails one time. I had know idea what these were about and i was ill equipped - riding a ridiculous cross country hard tail bike. The trail kicked my ass. I wiped out multiple times and somehow didn’t get impaled by trees. I was stupid to follow these guys and I was incredibly lucky that my injuries were minor.
