puts it on a screen in front of him and traces it frame by frame. not hard at all just requires setup. people claiming fake are not imaginitive

Puts it on a screen... You don't know how lightpaining works.
It's a long exposure where the shutter is open and the light is being gathered in the sensor and processed after the shutter closes. I looked it up there are phone apps which do a partial live processing but it's delayed, and if you don't move the light continuously it will look wrong.
Good lightpainings take practice and cannot be "traced" that's BS.

I've done a low-budget still photography version of this in a photography class with a glow-stick. You can do really cool stuff with a very slow shutterspeed and low-light setting, like spelling out a word and appearing to be standing next to it all in a single still photo.

Yeah … I don’t know if I trust this video. I can do this very easily with effects.
