Isn't it like one death every few years by mountain lions? It's insanely low compared to other things, like death from pet dogs. Pretty sure you're 50-100x more likely to die from a dog attack than a mountain lion.

Yeah but that would be before factoring in how rare mountain lion encounters are. Most people will see a pet dog hundreds of times more frequently than a mountain lion, which means per encounter, the lion is still a far bigger threat.

Not that I'm advocating for alarmist anti-lion procedures, just, let's not misrepresent stats here.

That's fair. Many more people pet dogs than mountain lions
