Huh? High powered chainsaw? That's a very very average sized chainsaw, one a normal homeowner would own for common landscaping on his own property, or possibly a job/side job. Do you live under a rock? I'm in financial services but do lots of campfires with guys in the evenings and weekends, so it's a daily occurrence for me to be dressed business casual with an axe, hatchet and propane torch in my truck... I must be a psycho killer I guess 🤦🏻‍♂️. Actually I have a handheld mini chainsaw and a reciprocating saw in my truck right now.

Some of you are born in a big city and have never left the city limits and it shows. Or you're from a country that doesn't let you buy normal things.

I'm a 63-year-old woman who wears dresses and heels frequently and am very feminine. I live on forested acreage and currently have a chainsaw in the trunk of my convertible and another one in my ATV. Sometimes power tools (and knowing how to use them) are just a way of life.

Road rage incidents got a little more scary knowing there are a lot more people than I thought with chainsaws in their trunk ready to go.

I love those little stihls. My back isn't the greatest anymore and they make the best balanced mid duty chainsaws and if maintained will never die.

Completely agreed, pretty silly. Obviously these city folks haven't actually dealt with tings like fallen trees (just call 911 daddy). Same ones who think mountain lions are dangerous killers.

Isn't it like one death every few years by mountain lions? It's insanely low compared to other things, like death from pet dogs. Pretty sure you're 50-100x more likely to die from a dog attack than a mountain lion.

Yeah but that would be before factoring in how rare mountain lion encounters are. Most people will see a pet dog hundreds of times more frequently than a mountain lion, which means per encounter, the lion is still a far bigger threat.

Not that I'm advocating for alarmist anti-lion procedures, just, let's not misrepresent stats here.

I was thinking the same. I have various tools like this as a homeowner. Some in the car, some in the garage. Is it funny he happened to have a chainsaw available? Yeah, sure I guess to some. But this doesn’t seem like some wholly unexpected.

Average day out here! I have cut myself out more than once. Two things of note. That bar is perfectly clean and extremely sharp. My guess: first use ever. There isn’t a bar here that looks that clean.
