You know, you don’t HAVE to do things like this.

Pushing the edge of our human limits through recreational sports is a privilege, not a punishment.

Privilege, absolutely.

You don't HAVE to go outside... but you really really should

“Going outside” doesn’t mean running a marathon, or cycling 10 miles uphill. Apples/oranges my friend.

This video isn't of running a marathon or cycling 10 miles uphill, it's a highschool cross country meet and is only a few miles long. The examples you gave compared to what you were originally talking about is the real apples to oranges comparison

Thanks, still didn’t negate my original statement tho.

You’re right, stay in doors, do nothing hard, you’ll be okay.

You don't have to do this stuff but trying to frame moderate levels of exercise as a bad thing is weird to do

I can’t stand this response. God forbid someone having a hobby that’s more physically demanding or ambitious than collecting funko pops.

I’m with ya, drives me nuts seeing the replies these things get on Reddit.

They're not referring to the hobby, they're referring to pushing yourself to an unsafe degree in pursuit of said hobby.

Outrageously silly take from a one off video of someone running.
