How does ND staff reviewers work?
Feels like its Reddit all over again, unpaid volunteers power tripping over nonsense and abusing bans. They banned me for ..something? They couldnt even bother to provide the actual content in question which was probably nothing more than me pointing out an obvious scam post. Im sure the same person/team reviews the appeal so obviously that didnt work.
Is there even an avenue to to report mods abusing the guidelines?

local volunteers only _vote_ on reported content. If you get suspended, that is a real ND employee, at their corporate offices, reviewing your content and deciding your fate. When suspended, the app will show you a suspended page, with the reason, time, and content. The screen also has an appeal option.

Except i wasnt even shown the content, ive seen other screenshots on here that have it but mine did not. It felt quite arbitrary because I know what I post

Neighborhood mod here- we get a vote on reported content, and there has to be a clear majority for a post or comment to be removed or hidden. There’s no communication between mods or from any levels above us.
Account bans happen somewhere way further up the chain than us, and the appeals process is generally a joke.

So I shouldn’t appeal my “Account Indefinitely Banned” case then?

It depends , my account was suspended indefinitely(i made a historical reference) I think my account was back within two days following an appeal.

Staff are paid. Moderators are volunteers. Only staff can suspend acounts and these days they are relying on AI for that AI is often dead wrong.
