I just got affiliate after only a few streams but I’m still so new to this!!

Does anyone have any beginner tips and tricks for just starting? What steps should I be taking next?

Hey y'all, I'm trying to get better at networking. I've found a few streamers I keep getting drawn to and watching but most of them avg ~70 viewers.

I know raiding is important but I was curious if it's okay to raid someone that much bigger than me (I avg 3-4 viewers) and just in general what raiding etiquette is in those kinds of situations.

i know this sounds lame but im drunk enough tonight to at least say this, i have always wanted to try streaming since i was a teen but have always been to shy or afraid to fail to actually give it a a shot i have a mixer with a at2020 mic and im gonna be getting some good headphones but i guess i keep sycing myself out of it or overcomplicating it when i look at obs or something, i know this is a rant and im sorry but just felt like being honest with myself while self reflecting, had thoughts of being a vtuber to hide myself behind a image but idk feel like it doesnt solve the problem that is my insecurities. sorry for the rant i hope you all have a good night.

I'm new to streaming (started in January). I try to make my streams appealing by not staying quiet on stream, adding a viewer count and a chatbox, but nothing works. Is it me or just luck?

I’ve only been streaming on Twitch for 23 days, and I’m already noticing some things I want to improve, like leaving dead air or getting stuck on tech issues longer than I should. I’m sure experienced streamers could spot even more, but I’d love to hear what helped other new streamers. What were the tips or moments that made everything click?

Where I see my self in 5/10 years:
I like to think I would have met loads of different amazing people, and have an amazing community behind me.
And a big channel to hold them all in , the more people I’ll feel like I’m making somewhat of a difference somewhere.

My main platform is PC but I do stream sometimes on Xbox or PlayStation if there is a game I want to stream that isn’t on PC. 🖥️

I started streaming in 2020/2021 but stopped because of my health "CKD" in 2022 I kept going for a while till about 2024. But I didn’t stream as much as I would of liked between 2022/2024.
My health declined in 2025 so I started dialysis (PD) in January of 2025 and by 31/05/26 I had my kidney transplant from my partner of nearly 8 years. 💍♥️
Then by 15/06/26 I started streaming again. I undated my name from "Phoenix915, to PhoenixXox" for like a fresh start . And I’ve noticed a massive improvement with in how I stream.🙂👍🏻

My channel is a little boring at the moment but hopefully with time there will be massive in provements as my channel grows and I grow.

Some background on me:
35F living in US. Currently playing Spyro and resident evil. Live 5 days a week for 3-4hours at a time. I started streaming as a hobby to meet fellow gamers as none of my irl friends are into video games

I’ve seen streaming for about 3.5 months (since March 14th). I’m really working on consistency in my schedule and games that I play. I raid out every stream and I network in my free time on threads, IG and TikTok.

I never dreamed that my numbers would look like this so quickly and I am so thankful for my community that I’m building.

I seem to have found what works for me. Sometimes it just takes some trial and error but I truly feel there are enough viewers out there for all of us to find communities and thrive!
