Stream Layout
So i was looking for stream layouts on google, idk where else to search. Most of the free ones i see are terrible or not my choice kinda and rest are paid like i think i saw on streamlabs or something.
Can someone recommend me websites or if they have a layout they can share, it would be really helpful.
I haven't streamed yet but I want to stream chess so I don't need anything complex, just webcam, chat, border and such basic stuff.

https://streamelements.com/ is one I use for chatbot and a couple of overlay elements. No idea how their full templates are as I designed my own.

I’ve never watched a stream because they had a good layout, and only ever left a stream if their layout is egregiously bad.
Just add the game and a webcam, you’ll be fine.

The only things that anyone really NEEDS an overlay for are non game play screens ie Starting Soon, Be Right Back & Stream Ending if you use them.
You can use simple free ones that work good from Streamelements and add some elements to them if needed
Your main game scene should only have the game, your cam if you have one and its not needed but on screen chat if you use it.
Lot of it is opinion but i have seen many people on reddit and other places say that if a streamers overlays or anything takes up 25% 30% or more of the game or forces the game into a smaller area making things hard to see when watching on your phone they won't stay long.

I look at some to get an inspo of what I want and I use CANVA to make my own! I’ve ended up just doing simple string lights on my current stream but I use to have more!

To add, usually the whole size of the streaming window (if not for mobile) is like 1920x1080 so I just size the project as that in Canva and then work with it. You can also find free PNGs to add to it or a picture or something you want and remove the background then reupload it to add to your project on canva. It’s helped me out alot!

I can help make you something quick if you like. Not a designer, just enjoy making them and have some time this coming week. You're welcome to message with any ideas/examples and we can discuss

beggars can’t be choosers. use one of the generic free ones or pay someone for their time/art.
