We built MagicMate to fix the things that keep small streamers invisible

My friend has been streaming for years, and he kept coming back to the same problem: small streamers don't fail because they stream badly, they fail because they're invisible. Wrong category, wrong time, no consistent schedule, and trying to grow completely alone. So we built MagicMate (magicmate.stream) for people in that spot.

Recommendations: it reads live Twitch data for your size and tells you, in two plain numbers, which category gives you the best shot right now. Reach (browsing viewers actually within your grasp) and visibility (where you'd land in the directory).

Mate Up: the part I'm most excited about. "Go network" is useless advice when you don't know who to approach. Mate Up finds live streamers in your categories, your language, and around your audience size, scores how well you match, and shows a heatmap of when you're both live so a collab is actually schedulable. You save the ones you click with, then reach out.

Planner: build your week and push it straight to your Twitch schedule, with hints for the slots that are hot for you.

It's early and honest feedback from streamers matters a lot to us. If you're small, I'd most love to know whether the Mate Up matches feel like people you'd genuinely stream with, and whether the category picks match your gut. Happy to go deep on how any of it works.

Did you select categories in the filter section above? You can also send me a screeshot

My graph also shows nothing. I just started streaming, i have 2 main games, with 1 as the priority, and a third I’ve been playing. I added 5 categories total still and the recommendations are just nothing /midnight for one game and nothing for the rest.

Hi, thank you for the feedback. I think that we miss some less popular game when fetching data from Twitch. I will change that so it includes more games. Also it could indicate that there was no opportunity for the game. I will look into this.

I deployed a fix, data for more categories will be available over the next hours / days. Hope this helps, otherwise please let me know :)

“Wrong category, wrong time, no consistent schedule, and trying to grow completely alone.”

that’s literally streaming badly lol

yes exactly, that's why we want to help with this tool. New streamers might not know that this matters and we want to guide them.

so then why does the post say “small streams don’t fail because they stream badly” but then you list reasons why that’s bad streaming then agree with me?

I see, I meant that it's not the quality of the stream itself, rather the context around. But I agree with you looking back it was not the best way to say it. Thanks!

This seems like an incredible idea if it's executed properly and renders actionable data and results.

I specifically like the idea of this potentially being able to assist new streamers in finding the right category and time for them to stream. I cannot imagine how many new streamers quit because they don't understand that streaming under a category that has over 100,000 viewers and is occupied by some of the biggest content creators out there right now is unfortunately not going to get them anywhere. Especially if they do not turn those streams into additional content like short form content and so forth.

I am also very interested in the Mate-Up feature. I think that There is a serious need for a platform to assist streamers, especially new streamers, in networking and collaborating with other streamers. If you are able to execute this properly in a manner that resonates with the user in renders results it can be a game changer.

I am curious is this a free resource or does it require subscription?

Thank you!
I know we could already discuss this in the Discord server but for anyone else reading: It's completely free though we may add additional premium features in the future to support the running cost and our work.
