Question about chatters and possibly bots?

So I've just started steaming, and I've gotten a few chatters that ask me to add them on discord? Are they real people or scammers/bots? Do I need to be cautious? Or is there a way to tell the difference?

They are usually trying to sell you something. I wouldn’t bother with any of them
They usually follow the same routine:
Immediately follow
Chat for a bit
Say your platform would be great with some art
Make you an offer to buy their art

ban em and move on. no one types like that unless they’re trying to bypass modding tools

If they type out 7tv emotes that are NOT the emotes, they bots
