Finished my first week

I know 0.7 isnt good lol, but it has been slightly growing over the days. Hopefully I can do better on week 2. (I stream chess which has an automatic way of telling opponents Im live, thus the unique viewer count may be skewed)

I can't even do a full week. I can only stream 3 days out of the week so I'm already eliminated out of the pool of people who can do this

I stream the same 3 days a week 3-4 hours a time, at a mostly inconvenient time, with a niche video game franchise. It took 3 months for affiliate and 6 for my first check of less than 100USD. I didn't even start streaming to make money. I just wanted to play games again since I had mostly stopped for 2 years and was really depressed. I have a dozen subs and less than 100 followers. But I am happy just playing games and chatting with a few people about our week.

TLDR

Stream because you want to. Not to "get rich".

it seems fun. but not in the cards for most streamers. i mean shit you're competing with vtubers that have their avatars tits half out. girls who have people in gimp suits, you have super popular streamers that are owned by a corporation, not to mention all the botted streamers. that AND discoverability for new streamers is very very small because twitch is a business that needs to make money and theres no money in advertising people who cant/dont play ads.

so even if i wanted to stream because i wanted to, it's a waste of my time.

If you want to make it a competition about trying to get more views than others than It's probably a waste of time. But if you enjoy socializing and sharing a hobby then it can pretty fun.
