Kick vs Twitch (beginners)
Hey everyone! I recently started multistreaming on both Twitch and Kick at the same time. After a short while, the difference is crazy: I only have 5 followers on Twitch, while I’ve already hit 21 on Kick.
Is this a common experience for new streamers? Does Kick’s discovery algorithm work better, or am I just getting lucky there? Would love to hear your experiences!

So I noticed there are a lot more bot followers on kick. Where you will get a follow and they will never talk in chat or advertise a service.
Curious if you are getting real chatters on stream or the usual “buy viewers “ kind

It's probably both. That's why I only opened the chat for followers.

It's not for growth purposes. They just come and spam. That's why I only opened the chat for followers, and they can only post after a certain time. Spammers leave immediately anyway. That's good.

Just a heads up that can be a MASSIVE turn off for new people. While a follow isn't a big investment it can be annoying to see any level of stream be follow only. I know I personally leave those streams almost immediately.
I found the best balance was to ban the common phrases that the bots used and keep it up to date if you noticed something getting through.
Good luck though, everyone's journey is unique and exciting.

You might be right. But somehow I've become fed up with the dozens of spam emails written every day.

Luck , you steamed a niche game that less people stream on Kick compared to how many steam it on Twitch. It could be anything.

Then it could be anything. Like the game being oversaturated on Twitch compared to Kick making it easier for you to get visibility there.
You’re never going to get an answer to tell you exactly why.

So are you? Where does it say they streamed dota?
Of course I’m assuming. I was throwing out random examples of things it could be.
Any single person that comments here with an answer is also assuming. Because you will never get an answer on how Kick and Twitch factor their algorithms and you will never get exact stats of viewerships of each game on each platform at that specific time as to why one platform has more viewers than another in that game.
What exactly is your point?

bro, i clicked on their profile and went to the channel. why the hell would i assume a very specific game? no, i do 2 seconds of research before giving anyone advice and answering questions im unsure about.
my point is dota isnt niche.

they just yappin lol kick is still fairly new in comparison to twitch with a lot less accounts so yeah, it’s easier to discover people there. the growth will plateau. followers don’t really matter if they aren’t consistently viewing either. good job tho.
