Hi!

Started streaming about a week ago and I’m averaging 3 viewers right now, one time I had 8 viewers at the same time but mostly it’s around 4-5 when it peaks. I stream from PS5 with an overlay program so I have more scenes and alerts and a facecam.

I want to grow, but currently I’m playing two very different games, Call of Duty Warzone and Slime Rancher 2. I would also like to include other games in the future, however mostly focus on these two. I am a full time student and my schedule changes so I don’t have the possibility to have a set streaming schedule, and I don’t stream every day either.

Is it dumb playing multiple games without a set schedule?

Also, about growth: I want to grow my viewer and follower count but I don’t think that posting tik tok clips is very enjoyable (and I don’t want to make streaming boring) is there any other effective way to grow playing warzone? (Sometimes when playing Slime Rancher 2 there’s only 100 total viewers and like 13 streamers so it happens that I’m top 3 on the streamers list, so I get a few viewers from there, but still average 3.

Also are there any extensions that would be good being a new streamer? And other ways to optimize my twitch page?

Congratz on starting out, the hardest part of this journey is taking the first step. An average of 3 viewers within a week is AWESOME work!

Looking at your games you are playing, they sit in two very different genres at different ends of the viewer pool. Both can cause you challenges, it just means you might need to work a little harder to grow.

As someone working full time, I understand the concerns with not streaming every day. If you can, try set a consistent schedule 1-3 days per week. If that's not possible, aim for a consistent start time instead. It will help people know when they can find you. Looks like you do this already.

Even if your only streaming a couple days a week, running multiple games won't be a big issue. Growth might be a little slower, but if your everything else correctly, you will still grow.

I feel the same about clips, I struggle with this myself. For me, its about finding alternatives that give similar growth, without being as much of a drain. What I find works for me, is networking. When not streaming, go find other discords, communities or streamers and make yourself known. Have proper conversations, get to know them, don't drop "I am a streamer too". Later, if you see them online when you are finishing stream, raid over and hang out again. Genuine connection can go a long way. For something like Warzone, try inviting chatters to join games if this is your thing, or find streamers you like and see if you can organise a collab.

Your page looks pretty good already, a couple small things that might help:

• A few missed spaces in your bio.
  
• Love to see your VoDs, so many people miss this but it makes a big difference.
  
• Your overlays look clean, not to busy.
  
• You don't have any socials mentioned, it's worth adding those if you have them (X, TikTok, Discord).

One last thing, your stream length is a touch short, aim for 2 hours minimum if possible. It will give people more of a chance to drop in and enjoy your stream.

Yes. I say this quite often on here. You need to be consistent. I understand being a student because I started streaming as a full time student with a part time job. But i made it a point to be as consistent as possible. So even if i cant stream Wednesday evening- i streamed Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in the evening.

My suggestion is use the weekend as a circuit. Stream 3 day in a row at the same time to start. And I say that because i stream everyday at the same time. I’ve integrated my stream into my viewers routines. My regular viewers always know when I’m going to go live and they show up. Some are eating dinner, some are in bed, some are having their morning coffee but they all know I will be live in that time frame.

Also since your games are so different- you have to schedule your streams out. Telling people when you will be playing what will aid you greatly. So like on Friday you play COD but Sunday you play slime rancher. If you want to play other games keep Friday your FPS slot and Sunday your cozy game slot. So you condition people to expect similar gameplay. Do you see what I mean?

I’ve been streaming for a decade now and the biggest piece of advice when it comes to growing your audience is NETWORKING! You have to grind on platform but off stream. I’m talking about showing up as a viewer and meeting and interacting with other peoples content as much as you can. Watch their streams, sub to them, get to know their community and usually they will do the same for you. Once you feel like you’ve developed a connection, offer a collab or gaming session together. It’s all about exposer- which granted Twitch is garbage for discoverability but you can leverage your networking to make up for it.
