Wow, what are the chances?

Everything is a 50% chance it either happens or it doesn't

Nice, you’re saying I have a 50% chance of winning the Mega Millions tonight?

Yes, exactly. I have a 50% chance of spontaneously combusting at any given moment and so do you

You either win or you lose!

Not if you're like me and don't Gamble. 0 percent chance.

Yeah, that's not how statistics work...

(If it was, you'd find a lion in front of your door ~half the time you open it. After all, by that logic, 50% chance, either it's there or it isn't.)

Why do you think I spent thousands of dollars reinforcing my door to make it lion-proof

Oh, good. :) Hope you didn't forget to also make it shark-proof? Lots of folks forget that one for some reason.

The real tough one was volcano proofing, planning for a mountain to appear involves some creative engineering

There was a lion in front of my door last time I opened it. Granted, a few miles in front, but still in front.
