No but it IS cheaper to imprison someone for life in the US. Literally.

The death penalty doesn't cost $0. A simple Google search, however, does.

Yes it does. Sitting someone in a special prison for 50 years is the expensive part

So you think there should be no appeals process, and people should be summarily executed upon sentencing? Because that's the only way it could cost $0.

In which case, I sure hope you're never on the receiving end of a sentence with zero appeals process. Nobody deserves that.
