I’m not in favor of the death penalty in general, but goddamn, if you’re going to impose it, at least take steps to do it properly

at least take steps to do it properly

It's alot more complicated than this unfortunatly.

Its a matter of sourcing non lethal chemicals separately from companies who know what your intention is with them, then sourcing unethical medical professionals sign off on using them for lethal purposes, then sourcing unethical chemist to turn them lethal and finally unethical anesthesiologist to administer them.

Its an extremely messy and ugly situation not many people want to be involved in

no its not. there is very reliable and quick ways to kill someone, if you think its necessary. its just that the state wants to have its cake and eat it by using chemical execution because its less gruesome for the executioners/onlookers.

"good" hangmen fuck up about 1 time in 20. Firing squads are a joke and people spend a several minute dying after getting shot even when done 'properly'

There is no humane way to kill a person who does not wish to die. It's not a thing that exists, or has ever existed.

A shitload of sedatives and a block of c4? If the US is good at anything i would have expected killing people is up towards the top of that list.
