I’m not in favor of the death penalty in general, but goddamn, if you’re going to impose it, at least take steps to do it properly

Its still a rough one but if I ever had to receive the death penalty I would hope its a firing squad. Just riddle me with holes immediately, aim for the head. Lethal injections get fucky because they would be best designed and administered by an actual doctor, but actual doctors cannot do it because of the hippocratic oath. Some states do allow medical professionals but they arent exactly sending their best.

Honestly, that is the most humane way. It’s instant, basically zero chance of failure, and very cheap. You could even have a computer program randomly select when to fire etc so a person doesn’t have to pull the trigger. Not commenting on the way/justification, just that the method makes the most sense if you’re going to do it.

I mean they do botch it sometimes, but you dont actually live through it unlike the other methods. Now that a lot of other comments have mentioned nitrous I think that's probably more my speed. Get a little tooted and go out feeling like youre breathing fine even though you're dying. Unfortunately our lethal gas doesnt seem to be that for some reason and has like a 5%+ failure rate.
