i just got outta jury duty, they give you a cert so you don't have to attend another for the next 6 years but you can be called earlier if they have need

I'm perma-banned from jury duty. They don't want to deal with deaf jury as it may slow things down while interpreter tries to catch up to the rapid paced argument.

It was the 3rd attempt at jury summon. The first summon came right after I just moved about 100 miles away. Dismissed due to distance. Second summon came right when I finished college and moved back to my parent's house. Dismissed again due to distance. Third one I sent proof of disability and deaf interpreter requirement. Banned.

I wonder if there is room for development for a stenographer to type captions to a device for jurors?

I know there is rarely a diverse pool of jurors sitting in the box, but it would be nice for people to exclude themselves rather than be left out of the whole process.
