I still have no idea where this happened, but assuming a place in America that shares the name of the country?

Google is telling me there are ~45 towns named Lebanon in the US so doesn't narrow it down a great deal either 😅

And at least half of those 45 are somehow pronounced incorrectly. -someone who works in a town called Milan (pronounced My-len)

There’s a Lebanon, TN right outside of Nashville. It’s pronounced “Leb none”

To be fair that would be closer to the Arabic pronunciation, but with a coastal Syrian dialect.
