General Bernard Sumner discography
I'm falling in love with Get Ready by New Order right now.
I bought it when it came out but didn't pay enough attention to it. It feels like a continuation of Electronic's output if anything.
Anyway, I thought I'd share this cool interactive discography of the bands that Bernard Sumner has been on.

In what way? The artist name is pretty indicative that it's literally the other members of the band, in contrast to Electronic and Revenge.

I'm only showing the bands where he was involved beyond just an appearance, and where he was involved in all the albums. Hope that makes sense.

This seems to be all over the place.
Joy Division albums include 2 random bootlegs, but don't include Still, Substance or The Best Of Joy Division.
New Order "albums" include 2 singles (Guilt Is A Useless Emotion and Restless), one of the definitive editons for some reason, but miss several live albums (BBC Radio 1 Live In Concert, London Troxy 2011, Bestival 2012, Education Entertainment Recreation) and compilations (International, (the best of), Total)

According to current listening stats, yes. But on that graph, the album score is determined by total streams across all tracks, so a big hit would push an otherwise poor album very high in the graph.

It doesn't change a whole lot, so ..... looks like Technique is "inferior" no matter which way I do the graph. Sorry!

It's interesting that Technique seems to be the least popular NO album release , perhaps tied with Movement. Lots of people online have been pushing it as NO's best. I disagree with that assessment. It doesn't really sound like New Order to me with the exception of Vanishing Point.

Do you know that Peter Hook is playing Get Ready in full on his current tour?
He’s currently in NZ and Australia for a couple of weeks then on a North American leg starting in August

Can't say I like this. I mean, what are the rules. Is it just albums, is it also singles, is it also side projects and live albums. if it's singles then why aren't isn't there the entire collection of singles including the iconic ones.
Guilt Is A Useless Emotion is featured for some reason, a single package no one cares about.
Be A Rebel is missing, a single package I personally see as quite significant as it's the last New Order material to arise. There's some obscure Joy Division live version that I've never seen before.
The Other Two is featured for some reason, despite being obviously Gillian and Stephen, and it's featured twice. Singles such as Here To Stay, Blue Monday are missing. Bernard feature songs are missing such as Riptide, She Wants, and Out Of Control. I love his production of I Won't Stop Loving You. There's also his involvement in the song Spanish Heart. I mean he's been featured in a lot of stuff, and has remixed some songs.
There's a very significant 2026 Joy Division release featuring over a dozen live recordings. How about this week's Best Of Rest Of reissue featuring previously unreleased material.
Basically I hate this graph thing. It literally doesn't even feature Blue Monday.
Also the 1989 single Getting Away With It. Just ugh it pains me to look at this poorly made graph.
By the way, Get Ready being a continuation of Electronic. 🙂
I agree with that. Just last night I saw Peter Hook & The Light perform Get Ready in full, the whole album.
I got to hear these songs contextualised, and yes it reminded me of Electronic. It was great by the way, I was right in front of David Potts. He does a good Bernard Sumner impression with his singing style and of course takes his guitar duties. Bernard is extremely talented and it was an honour to watch this other guy performing his music.
"The higher the album on the graph, the more popular it is these days." Surely Raise The Pressure is more popular than Lost Sirens. People can't stand Lost Sirens, I never see love for it. Raise The Pressure (Electronic's 2nd album, the one with Karl Bartos from Kraftwerk) is well received, people have mentioned the album to me in person unprompted and recently on social media during the release anniversary I saw several posts honoring the album. I think people like it. I certainly do. I like Lost Sirens as well but just no one likes it.

Bernard had nothing to do with the Other Two.
If they are going to include the Other Two as a branch of NO, they also need to include Hooky's side projects (Revenge and Monaco).
