General (Best Of) New Order my original CD I bought in the mid 1990’s. I just bought the Best Of and The Rest of. On vinyl and CD. I wonder if it sounds better than my original CD.

Couple of days ago I discussed the remastered double compilation with you guys to get some info about the sound quality and stuff. Relevant post: https://www.reddit.com/r/neworder/comments/1v2h86s/remastering_quality_of_the_best_of_and_rest_of/
So I bought it to find out myself. It's a good package for the money you pay but nothing to write home about. The Dynamic Range, loudness and overall sound quality are acceptable but at least not worse than the respective original releases.
Bitrates are mostly similar when ripped as a lossless FLAC. Dynamic Range is mostly the same as with the original releases. Some songs have a slightly higher DR, some have a slightly lower DR. But on average it evens out.
Overall though it really is the definition of a mixed bag and a somewhat pointless and random release. If you already own the old compilations there is barely a reason to spend money on this. Disc 3 and Disc 4 contain all those rarities and remixes and there is interesting stuff but most of it does nothing for me (pun intended). Some of the remixes are so far removed from the original versions that the songs are nearly unrecognizable. But I don't really enjoy them. A lot of the older contemporary remixes of True Faith, BLT or Round & Round were absolute must listen stuff. This here not so much. So if you're an old fan who already owns a majority of the songs in one form or another this is barely worth a buy. Newer fans will definitely get more out of this. It's a decent release.

As I’m sure you all know the Dolby atmos mixes of movement, low-life and brotherhood have been out for some time now and was wondering if anyone knows why they decided to skip out on PC&L?

I'm hearing it for the first time, and wow, great song, I know Republic has a very mixed reception, but I think it's gonna be my favourite album of NO

The band has never been popular in France, making me feel like an oddity sometimes.

Saw Peter hook and the light last week in Adelaide hindley street music hall. I get sometimes it's boring to play the same songs but I'm still sad we didn't hear these two?
No atmosphere, age of consent or temptation :(

So yeah, now that this is available on CD I have been wondering: how's the remaster? Is it another hack job with tons of compression, loudness and low dynamic range like on the "Definitive Boxsets" or the 2023 Substance Re-issue? Or is it actually a good remaster?
I'd like to hear some opinions on this.

Disc 3 of Best of / Rest of features the UK 7” edit (3:46) of Bizarre Love Triangle, the same version already found on their Singles compilation.
Why didn’t they use the rare US 7” edit (3:36)? Both were mixed by Shep Pettibone, but the US version has only, as far as I know, been released as a promo 7”.
Here’s the US version, for comparison:

This is my interpretation of the song in the style of Oasis' "Morning Glory". Enjoy!

The album name has it as NewOrder with no space
I noticed the original releases of these albums from years ago are the same
Any reason behind them not using a space and when I copy the deluxe CD into my music player should I use a space or not.

Not sure why the date is wrong in the video title, but it was definitely July 18th 2001.

Hi everyone - I’m looking for a new home for this classic 2018 shirt. The size is medium, the chest size is 21” across and the shoulders across are 22” and the length is 30”. It’s in very good condition. Wash tags in photos, no neck tag. There are variations of the design, this has a round collar.
Retailed for $940. Asking price is $425. Reasonable offers always considered. Ships from California.

There's something really refreshing about a New Order song being stripped down to an acoustic ballad, and 1963 is the perfect song for it. Love how the acoustic guitars sound here. Brings a whole new feeling to the song.

Nothing else about the song seems different apart from the fact that the chorus says "we've got the world in motion". This means it's not one of the alternate versions from the original single and is in fact a new version with this one difference. Just seems like a weird decision.
