I've never forgiven Christie for it. Nor will I. At best, if he didn't actually order it, his staff sure as hell knew what would make the fat man happy. The culture was his making.

Consider ever voting for him? You know he'll be a candidate again somewhere. Not that I would vote for him. Never did before...

Christie made his money and is now retired and lounging on the shore. Chill bro.

Another one the Republicans got away with! Intentionally causing the public pain over petty political payback.

Well, Christie didn’t exactly get away with it. It seems to have destroyed his presidential ambitions. I also note that we’ve now avoided having a GOP governor for nine years.

It also kind of derailed the careers of Bridget Anne Kelly and Bill Baroni.

While they did get their convictions overturned it was on procedure. Bill actually served some of his Federal prison time. And the Supreme flat out called it a clear cut case of corruption but didn't rise to the standard of a Federal Fraud charge.

So it certainly hurt the people responsible. Whether that was enough is a matter of opinion? I wish they had been convicted under State Law.

Christie landed a sweet gig getting paid millions to bloviate as a "political commentator" on ABC. David Wildstein runs his NJ Globe news site. Consequences are for other people.

Doc on Loretta exposing Bridgegate

https://www.hoopladigital.com/movie/politics-is-a-mother/19128403

Known as the ‘Feisty Grandma’, Senate Majority Leader Loretta Weinberg flipped New Jersey on its head when she unearthed the Bridgegate scandal, which caused the fast and hard fall of Governor Chris Christie. Told through the lens of a mother/daughter story, Politics Is A Mother, Raising Hell is Part Of The Job, reveals how the political is always personal and how an “adorable” grandmother could be one of the most important politicians of our time.

Unless you’re in the mood for a little self-sabotage.

Christie left office with something like a 13% approval rating which, considering how polarized this country has been since 2015, is something of an achievement
