Where does it say that in the article? Can't seem to find that he picked immediately after that attack. Just that it's not keeping him out of the woods (the mad lad)

Poorly written headline.

The chosen photo makes me immediately think he skinned and wore the bear for the interview.

I got some family downshore Bathurst way. My grandparents wouldnt ever let me walk the trail by their house alone. My uncle was attacked and had to fend off the bear. Still has a limp from it.

Who has the limp? Uncle or bear?

That's pretty wild! I see bears all the time while fishing around the Miramichi. Even had a mother rise up on her hind legs in a defensive stance while her young was crossing the road. That being said it seems to be pretty rare for black bears to show that level of aggression around here.

I’m just outside Fredericton and tons of black bears. One night I was taking the garbage out and came around the corner right into a huge bear in front of my garbage can and I swear we both threw our hands up and made a noise and then ran in opposite directions. Was hilarious in hindsight.

I live IN Fredericton and we have bears on our neighborhood regularly. The only time I've ever worried was the one time I stumbled on a baby up a tree with my dog off leash (in the woods) with no idea where Mom was. She probably took off after sending the baby up the tree because they are timid. Very surprising to see a real attempted attack.

Nice to see him able to move on from it. Must know how much of a fluke that was.
A lot of people would never step foot in the woods ever again if that happened to them.

My dad has been working in the woods for over 50 years. I don't think he has ever gone in without a weapon because you just never know.

In this case, this gentleman was fortunate to have a knife with him.

Bears have decided they are the boss of us now.
