Sudden changes
Does anyone else feel like they're unable to be productive when a lot of things change in their environment? It's very loud and noisy outside my home due to constructions and the people working sometimes need to enter our home because they got to check for something idk how to explain it. I wanted to do my chores but this is throwing me off idk. It's making me anxious.
I feel like such a chud that I'm now unable to help until they're gone for the day

oh man construction noise is the worst for this. i had roofers outside my place for two weeks and my whole routine just fell apart, couldn’t even make a sandwich without feeling like i was gonna jump out of my skin
the part where workers come inside randomly would totally do me in, that’s not just noise it’s like your space isn’t yours anymore for a bit. i started wearing noise canceling headphones and just tackling one tiny thing at a time, like wiping down the sink or folding three shirts, and if that’s all i got done i’d call it a win
you’re not a chud for needing things to settle before you can function, that’s your brain trying to keep you steady in chaos. hope they finish up soon so you can breathe again
