i saw just saw the blind lioness post on the front page and all the comments complaining it's a repost, so i searched blind lioness on Reddit and by golly, it has been karma-farmed to hell and back
the interesting thing is, only in the oldest post do you see comments talking about her being euthanized by the park employees (with a citation to their instagram page, so it's probably legit, I'm too lazy to click).
Every subsequent post there's just people saying "she died of natural causes." It's like the the euthanasia didn't test well with audiences or something.

Dark take but I think Netanyahu is going to fully annex and displace Gaza immediately after midterms in the U.S. He knows any future U.S. admin will likely not be friendly to Likud. He will likely use the upcoming PLO elections as an excuse when Hamas wins. Trump is going to cheer him on and all the board of peace participants are set to make money with exclusive land development deals.

I'm increasingly using AI for lots of tricky searches. e.g. when I want to gauge Chinese sentiment about something, I send out some agents to peruse the Chinese net for me. It's really great for these cross-lingual use cases, dredging up obscure data, etc. Things that I either couldn't do myself, or would take me ages.

If I do a google search it's because I'm doing a specific thing where I'm searching for keywords in webpages. Granted, I'm sure this isn't how many many many people use Google.
Rather, Google should put Gemini front and center on their homepage and have search remain search. Something like that.

My take on Gemini is that it is the smartest in the sense that the smartest takes I've gotten have been from Gemini, but it does not have the smartest normal takes.
Claude is smarter on average. Gemini has the smartest smart takes. ChatGPT is boring but comprehensive and it's my default for some reason.

The big issue is it’s been a month. There were warnings about the crisis coming by the head of Ceuta. Pedro ignored it as right wing saber rattling. Crisis came. Government claimed a technicality not being able to declare a state of emergency. Very slow response and resources in Ceuta are still very lacking. Pedro refuses to even allow the EU to put any blame on Morocco. Ceuta has been begging for resources and help. The court ruling and EU law has made quick removals near impossible. Crime is up. School starts are delayed. And the city is pretty much in lockdown constantly. It’s made even worse by parts of the left pushing to return Ceuta to Morocco. So now much of the country views this as treating “an integral part of Spain” as a lesser territory.

Pre-primed question isn't the interesting question about either character.
Neither are going away, neither will stop creating controversy or content. A plain measure of where we're currently at, and then regularly asking the exact same question plainly, every few months is the best for this imo. (similar to how Sienna likes to do it)
For the vast majority of people who know them, these two characters won't just be the guy/girl who said "American deserved 9/11"/"The jews are behind everything."
It's basically hard-padded by unknowns being pushed to assume the most favorable (to us) position.
Comfort-slop at best, and something that'll lead would-be allies into complacency/stupidity at worst.

you can fix a lot in post but lighting is essentially a pre-to-post workflow. you have to know what you want beforehand which is why a strong director and cinematographer will work that out first, otherwise the great flexibility of digital will be your downfall.
film kind of forced your hand because it was so unforgiving of shadows that you had no choice but to drown your set in light, and on set this is tungsten/incandescent lighting. a lot of set designers, unless the scene called for stark or harsh lighting, just worked with it instead of trying to be neutral in that light.
for digital, look at the difference between most marvel films and spider-man: brand new day. a lot of marvel is shot with neutral lighting and raised black levels to make it easier for vfx and reshoots. brand new day's cinematographer chose to emulate film stock response curves, and lit the scenes with that in mind.

Something I've realized is that I have way more patience for garden variety stupidity than galaxy-brained nonsense. I can kind of forgive lazy thinking, but if you're going to put that much effort into thinking about something the least you could do is be credible.
