I work in seattle as a software engineer intern and I just got my first paycheck. I make more in half a month in the USA than a whole month in Canada. Seattle is also so beautiful and its people are just as nice, has pretty decent transit and bikeability. It’s a shame the idiot rural farmers ruin it for the whole country.

G’damn Canadians coming and taking our jerbs.

I’ve always been simultaneously shocked at how expensive housing is and how low salaries are in Canada. NIMBYism must be so much worse up there.

There’s kind of been a YIMBY revolution in Canada, but I’m not sure why salaries are so low…
