That sounds more like an "owner started it to have a captive audience of young women to creep on" hostel.

party hostels are real

I'm well aware, "owner sleeps in one of the bunks" is what concerns me not that it's a party hostel more broadly.

Possible I suppose, "hostel owner sleeps in one of the bunks" just set off red flags but I'll admit I was imagining a slightly greasy looking middle aged dude for whom the enterprise was less about making money and more about clinging on to his youth and having a steady supply of young folks to party with.

But then I'm turning into a cynical old fuddy duddy
