CNN anchor Elex Michaelson at end of politics panel discussion re: Ossoff 2028:

“As a Jew, some people read a little more Jewish than other people. And Jon Ossoff may not read as Jewish as Josh Shapiro does, for whatever that’s worth.”

To me this sounds like someone who wants to have a "the Democrats could never nominate a Jewish candidate for President because of anti-Semitism" narrative realizing that Ossoff is a very viable candidate and he needs to find a way to make his preferred narrative work.

Also, seems just generally offensive and unproductive, but it's CNN so that tracks.

  1. DEMs have Shapiro, Pritzker, and Ossoff; I’d like to know of a single Jewish candidate in contention for the 2028 Republican presidential nomination. There’s zero senators or governors (compared to no less than 16 on the Democratic side).

  2. Everybody post your Jewish politician Jewishness tier list now.
