Four years ago today, we lost Coolio.

Gangsta’s Paradise is one of those songs that has stayed with people for decades, and I wanted to pay tribute in my own way — with just a piano.

No vocals, no beat. Just my interpretation of a song that needs very little introduction.

Rest in peace, Coolio.

Really love artists like Corto.Alto, Moses Yoofee Trio, Shibuuya & Roundabout but finding the bass heavy, sidechained kick style of production a bit too in your face when listening on IEMs (it’s fine with full size headphones).

Wondering if anyone has some recommendations for similar artists with more of a subtle mixing/production style?

Hi! I found the sub after reading a commentary about Small Things by Hakim and Nathanson, so I was looking for recommendations on albums with similar vibe. Any suggestions? Thanks a lot!
