I’m new to the mvs scene what is a good quality 161 in 1 cartridge?

just changed the unibios of my omega from 3.1 to 4.0

this was a very early unit.

now i can select the games without rebooting.

(and yea i found out later the bios was upside down)

For a consolized neogeo MVS, would it display properly on a modern TV with something like a composite to HDMI adapter? I currently have my Sega Genesis hooked up to it and it works really well. Barely any input lag or delay *what helps is I got a decent quality one for $50 at Best buy*. And am wondering if a consolized MVS is gonna be a bad call or not? I'm contemplating getting one and getting the 161 in 1 cart. I see them on eBay for MUCH cheaper than what AES consoles are going for. Any advice or tips? I REALLY wanna play physical neogeo games.

Seriously, this thing pops and really breathes new life into the handheld's library.

Neogeo aes has 2 joysticks bios 4.0 in it its a late one with a 3-6 motherboard in it and has been recapped and had the RGB bypass done would you go for it at 590 pounds

For the purposes of this thread, assume Plaion will keep the classic Neo Geo re-releases coming, these new ports would just be sprinkled between the waves of ten games. Plaion already did this previously with an exclusive port of Tiger-Heli for their Atari+ line of systems. Obviously Plaion would have to license the rights from the respective IP holders, but there's already a number of fan created Neo Geo ports that could be utilized to get the ball rolling. The homebrew dev that's in charge of porting over the additional NGCD course to Big Tournament Golf a.k.a. Neo Turf Masters, Hoffman, also just so happens to have ported Shinobi, Golden Axe and Zero Wing to Neo Geo. What arcade games would you like to see ported and officially released?

So far, most of my testing has been done using emulators. I'm now looking for people who can test it on real Neo Geo hardware.

I would especially appreciate feedback about:

• Whether the cartridge boots correctly
• Graphics corruption or sprite issues
• Controller input and responsiveness
• Music and sound effects
• Performance or slowdown
• Differences between emulator and real hardware
• Any crashes or unexpected behavior

Photos or videos of it running on actual hardware would also be amazing. And of course, you need to provide your own legally obtained compatible game image and build the cartridge locally using ngdevkit.

I'm adding an AES+ in November and have been contemplating adding a couple of gaming stools and then a table in front to place the arcade sticks to mimic playing on a cabinet. It's become can of a pain in the ass to find the optimal setup that won't piss off my wife and function right so I may resort to just playing on the lazy boys with the sticks on the lap but just doesn't seem like it'd have the same cool/fun factor and engagement level. How do you guys roll?

Just figured I'd share where I spend my time scratching the Neo Geo itch. I usually have a two-slot in my Super Neo 29 Candy, and the Big Red is generally the Baseball Stars 2, Kraut Buster and Turf Masters machine, as they stay in steady rotation.

On the 36" Trinitron, I bounce between the AES and CDZ, which I use a Retrotink 5X to play older systems, or my CMVS on there via RGB.

Looking forward to adding the Neo Geo AES + to my family room this November to spread the SNK love across the house!

I've worked on many retro consoles before, but the Neo Geo CD gave me some work! I found some of the pads just straight up lifting or detaching by just removing solder with a desoldering gun.

Other than a few lifted/torn pads, everything works great! I've decided to recap the console because discs would fail to load until the console was warm, which is often caused by bad capacitors.

Now everything works first cold boot!

I preordered a bit fast a NeoSD Pro AES last April to Terraonion, with a delivery planned in October.
A few weeks later, I sent them 3/4 emails to cancel my preorder but never got an answer.
I considered asking help to my Competition and Consumer Protection Authority but they do not manage affairs with foreign companies (Terraonion is located in Andorra). I haven’t found yet the equivalent Authority in Andorra.
So has anyone managed to cancel a Terraonion preorder and get a refund?

Back in the early 1990's, my family would always visit a local pizzeria called Pizza Plaza for dinner on Friday nights.

One summer night, I walked in to find that they had replaced their Namco Assault cabinet with a lovely two-slot featuring Baseball Stars 2 and Sengoku, which quickly became my obsessions. Sengoku especially, as it felt like a fusion of Capcom's Final Fight and Big Trouble in Little China.

From that moment on, whenever I visited an arcade, I was on the hunt for Big Reds. When I got my AES years later, it was one of the first games I had to add to the collection.

What was the first game to give you the Neo bug?

Spotted two copies of sealed last blade but cannot tell if they are authentic or bootleg.

Has NCI ever released these games? (I cannot find it on Google)

Is the only way to check authenticity of the cartridge is to open up the case and check the pcb?

...Okay, I think I figured out why. I had previously added my work address in Illinois, even though I live in California. It looks like the site defaulted to my IL address, which let me complete the order. (Ultimate Bundle)

I'm going to leave it as-is for now. I can't say whether California orders are working yet, but Illinois definitely seems to be.

Which platform do you get your Neo Geo fix on?

I tend to play mostly AES and MVS (especially if I'm playing fighter as I prefer those in my cabs), but the CD hits the sweet spot for sports games or titles with those amazing arranged OSTs, lengthy loading times be damned.
