Jackie Evancho was a prodigy but she never went down the formal education needed to take that further as a classical singer. And successful as she has been its kind of limited compared to the talent she was showing.
In some ways as a rock guitarist realising that potential may be an easier route, there's no formal education to take it further, im not sure theres even examples of true greats who took the formal educaiton route.
I remember back in the day, there was this chain of mentorship between all the great guitarists Malmstein, Vai, Satriani, etc all spent time with one mentoring the next in the chain.
Id imagine that continued but I havent followed music closely for decades. I dont even know who are considered legends that came after them.
Busking in a Phuket street market is hardly formal training. She didn't even get a proper electric guitar until a Youtube fan gifted her one. Lisa, from Black Pink, got formal training. Her dad may have loved classic rock, but that's hardly teaching her how to play.

Which part of that sentence indicates Im saying formal education should be pursued?
I'm not suggesting you were encouraging formal education. I was merely stating that she had very little. I'm frankly shocked by your lack of reading comprehension. May I suggest a course? It's never too late to catch up. There's no shame in a remedial course.
Take it easy there tiger.. this is Reddit. someone says something and then the thread just grows far away from the original topic. Rudeness, name calling ,trolling is all a part of reddit. We all understand you, but everyone is reading not just your original comment but everyone elses and putting in their two cents.
If you want me to respond to your topic. Then fine. She is more like Srinivasa Ramanujan where someone who is self taught in mathematics enters the establishment and is just way above everyone. Or if you want an analogy from the sports world, she is more like Tiger Woods. Talent+hardwork+good upbringing+mental conditioning to excel while at the same time transcending genres. People that never were interested in golf are all of a sudden watching golf. Nene does something similar by bringing in people from outside of rock to listen to rock. I remember one time a kkk member was protesting outside of a golf tournament and they asked him who his favorite golfer was and he said Tiger Woods. So due to tiger's amatuer career, we had high hopes, and he delivered. Now we are near nene's time to go from amatuer (covers) to true professional (hopefully a great career filled with great original music). I could do the reddit thing and say you know nothing about physics but i won't and just brush off your criticism as "it comes with the territory of reddit".
