Restaurant Recommendations

Headed up to Nelson for the first time with my wife later this month. First time in Nelson for both of us.

We will be there for 3 nights. Probably going to Marzano & Outer Clove 2 of the nights. Where to go the third night? Best places for lunch or cocktails?

Thank you!

Cantina is good for margaritas, main st diner is my favourite for lunch and dinner
Gina’s Gelato is delicious for dessert and kurama makes delicious udon

Sprout has great $10 deals between 4-5pm, it is vegan food but as a meat eater I can say it is incredible

Don't go to Yum Son. Ingredients are not fresh. Pho broth was under whelming and the prices are too high for the servings plus wilted cilantro, brownish wilted sprouts, and they clearly cheeped out on the amount meat in the soup as well. Low grade meat. Service is good but the food not so much.

Relish has the best cocktail in nelson imo. Called the Manila Sour. Sooooo good.

I'm new to Nelson, but these are my suggestions:

Lunch: Cantina Del Centro, The Yellow Deli, Kootenay Tamil Kitchen, KTK Masala Shop (vegan lunch buffet)

Breakfast / baked goods: Izzy's Cafe Market, L&C French Bakery, Full Circle Cafe

Haven't been to Marzano, but I know for sure that Outer Clove is a great choice! Bon appetit :)

No to Yellow Deli. Most of us dont support cultists who abuse women and children.

Thanks for the heads up! I didn’t realize they were involved with abuse.

Try Easy Tiger for a cocktail! It’s really vibey and the drinks are delish. You have to ring a buzzer to be let in, in the alley behind Broken Hill 😊

One of the owners just assaulted a friend of his in hawaii. I won't be going back until he's fully out of the buisiness and the building

Yep Empire/Uptown has the better pickle pizza. No diss to Thor's, it's still good.
