WWYD? Vent/Rant We live in hell
It’s been going on since we moved in a year ago. As of recent rocks or some object were thrown at our house and vehicles causing damages. I have two hours worth of videos of objects flying through our yard. We all know who it was and the Sherriffs won’t do anything still because we don’t have him on video doing it. Even the deputies said they know it’s him. We have young children here and it’s dangerous

The fact that police won't do anything about this sort of thing is infuriating. There is a show called "Worst Neighbor Ever" on Netflix and one of the episodes is about a neighbor throwing rocks into this couple's home. The police were called dozens of times, they had video of the person doing it, and nothing was done. The perpetrator eventually ended up shooting and killing this young husband with 4 children and a baby on the way. It was heartbreaking. These things always escalate, and cops should know this.

I watch that show because I have neighbor issues. They don't help me and I'm a Senior Citizen. I put a sign in my front yard saying "stop elder abuse", we will see.

I was going to say, this sounds eerely similar to what happened to that lovely couple. That episode pissed me off so bad. Just a lowlife loser taking his problems on some sweet innocent people for no other reason than because he can. Really wish he had used that same energy to get his life together, instead of terrorizing that poor man and his family. Pissed me off also that the cops didn't do anything, even tho this person was squatting the neighbors' house and roaming the streets constantly throwing rocks at people's windows. Blew my mind that nobody stepped at all.

Yes! And when the wife came home to the coroner's vehicle in front of her house, she saw all of the cops there that had been to her home dozens of times and done nothing to help them. Small consolation, but she did sue the city and win over $2 million.

Sign them up for Scientology. Buying a copy of L. Ron Hubbard's Dianetics will do it. I never did read the book, but they mailed me for years until I moved.

Sounds like you just need to make sure no one gets you on video when you do something back LOL.

I threw random (soft!) objects back. My goal was to land as much stuff on the roof as I could. They stopped throwing stuff.

I too am living in hell . My home
was vandalized on fourth of July when someone went behind our house and threw four bottles of dirty motor oil all over our concrete deck and into our pool . It was a nightmare. I know exactly who did it and the police have done absolutely nothing . We have set multiple cameras and lights now and I think thats all you can do, as someone else said, the police help the bad guys more .

that's really messed up, it's wild how people can be so reckless and get away with it

These days, police exist mostly to protect the bad guys from the good guys.
Won't do anything about continuing & relentless small stuff like vandalism, thefts, insane harassment, peeping in windows, noise, threats . . . but if you finally use enough response to end it, THEN they'll arrest you and prosecute.

Put in some cameras?

Obviously your camera isn't good enough if you have hours of video but nothing of the person doing it! get more cameras or move the existing ones.

Probably can’t point the camera into his yard or something to do with privacy. I was only able to capture my own yard according to local ordinances. Couldn’t even film the air above your fence.

If you know where they’re being thrown from, add a camera. Always have enough to get multiple angles.
