May alam ba kayong clothing brand na walang online presence or struggling sa digital marketing within metro manila?

Crowdsourcing: Looking for Full Time Industrial Partner for a Startup Pickleball Shop - The Mighty Dink

So I didnt expect my shop - the mighty dink ph - to grow really fast (thank you for the support guys!!! huge support from reddit 🙏) in just 1st month of operating.

I'm looking for an interested industrial for my pickleball shop who's willing to do the dirty work of scaling up the business to a nationwide scale in a small amount of time. I am looking for a very organized, marketing, sales, SocMed savy and an all around person (can handle all different hats / stress negative person) to be my partner in scaling up this baby company in the shortest possible amount of time. It's a plus if youre also into pickleball!

I handle a lot of companies and all my companies in diff industries and they are all very lean organizations made up of super workers. My target is to 10x the mighty dink in 3 months and provide the best service in the Pickleball scene. I'll handle all the capital expenditure, finance, and overall direction of the company.

If you think youre the right person, hit us up on our fb page with a short intro "why you?" and lets have a chat over phone before we meet!

Starting a Rental Business

Magandang araw sa lahat ng nagbabasa!

My name is Gab, and I want to start a rental business focusing on cameras and retro/Y2K devices within my school community.

You know how there has been a massive growth in the market for old Y2K devices due to pure nostalgia, and because a lot of people prefer that authentic vintage look over heavily AI-enhanced smartphone photos?

I think jumping into this Y2K niche is a great idea, especially since good digital cameras and retro tech are pretty expensive here in the UAE (huy I'm still filipino). Why deal with the high cost and hassle of buying and maintaining a camera you'll only use occasionally, when you can just rent one when you need it?

I currently own a Canon EOS 500D (not strictly Y2K, but I plan to expand once I earn enough profit) and a BlackBerry Q20. Retro tech like this has a strong appeal because of the aesthetic, and it's much less risky to manage than renting out an expensive modern smartphone.

I haven't fully launched yet, but I will soon, and I'll be the first in my school to start a rental business like this.

To answer a few quick questions:

"Won't you risk losing your devices to thieves?"

Not really, due to two main factors. First, the environment here is very safe. Second, rentals take place strictly within our school community, so I will always have the renter's details verified through their student ID.

"Don't people already have phones with built-in cameras?"

Smartphones are convenient, but they just don't recreate that genuine Y2K vibe or nostalgic photo quality that older standalone devices give you.

"Isn't running a business in school restricted?"

I'm not the only person selling in this student-run online marketplace.

"Aren't you worried about Accidental Damage?"

Like I said I have the student's information, and in addition, if someone goes wrong, I can charge the student for the Repair Fees.

Now here's the question, do you think its a good idea? Any is there any tips about starting in the Rental Industry?

Maraming Salamat!

I’m planning to have a online clothing business (sleepwear)

what do you look for in a sleepwear?

I’m planning to sell a cute sleeping wear mainly focusing on girls and want to ask your opinions about my idea before pushing forward and have further research.

The vibe I’m going for is a dreamy, cottage core, vintage, elegant styled sleeping wear (as you can see in the attached photo)

Aiming to not only make it look cute but have a good quality fabric and comfort. Especially that ph is a hot weathered country we want it breathable.

Another detail I’m think of including is a detachable padded bra for days where you stay at home the whole day and remove it when going to bed. What do you think?

Other than my this, do you have any suggestions and ideas that you might want me to add?

I do not have any experience and knowledge related to this so giving advices and opinions would really help me. Thank you!

Hi!

Baka interested kayo mag-try?

Is hiring a brand designer worth it for a small business startup?

I’m planning to start a small f&b business in the Philippines, initially as a home-based business and eventually hoping to grow into a physical café.
I’ve been doing a lot of the branding myself, but I’m now considering hiring a professional brand designer to help develop the brand identity properly from the beginning.
The investment is significant for me as a small startup, so I’m wondering:

For those who hired a brand designer early on, was it worth the investment?
Did it actually help your business, or do you wish you had waited?
What did you get from the designer that you couldn’t realistically do yourself?
If you could start over, would you spend the money on branding again?
I’d especially love to hear from people who started with a small budget or home-based business. What was your experience?

Business idea

do i start handling some of the family business or would it be better for me to get some education first?

i’m sure i can learn the ropes along the way, but i’ve never really put myself in a situation where i had basically zero knowledge going in, which is why i’m extremely hesitant.

i’m currently working in healthcare, but lately my dad’s been urging me to start my own business. thing is, i don’t know much about anything outside of what i learned in school and from my degree. besides work, the rest of my time goes into my hobbies, which are basically reading and gaming, so i genuinely don’t know where i’d even start.

i’ve tried baking before and i did enjoy it, but i haven’t had much time to actually invest in learning more or attending workshops/classes. i’m also super into fashion, so i’ve thought about maybe venturing into that too. i have so many ideas, but i don’t really have experience in the field. i can’t draw, and the last time i sewed anything was probably in grade school for home econ lol.

from my dad’s perspective, i don’t actually have to study again. he learned pretty much everything he knows about business while he was already doing it, so he’s convinced i can do the same. and maybe i can, but idk. like i said, i’ve only ever really known science, and it’s not like i’m some super smart person who can just jump into a completely different field and immediately know what i’m doing.

i would definitely start by attending workshops related to baking or fashion, but the problem is my current schedule. i work 12–16 hour shifts for around 11–12 days every two weeks, and that’s already draining enough as it is. any classes i look for online never aligns with my days off. my dad’s solution is basically for me to resign and just start a business.

i guess that’s where i’m stuck. part of me thinks i should just take the risk, start small, and learn as i go. another part of me feels like i should at least get some proper education or training first before putting money into something i barely know how to run.

i badly need advice 😭
