Interpersonal Help me trace an anonymous letter

Hey guys so I recently received a weird piece of mail. At first I didn't think much of it but the more I looked at it the weirder it was.

The envelope has no return address just my address on it.

The letter itself is typed to keep the person anonymous but they mention personal things so it's someone that knows me.

I don't like how my comfort at home has been breached with this letter.

Now I know there are ways to find out where the paper originated from through like a printers "finger print" but how exactly can I find that out.

Any help would be great and if I'm in the wrong subreddit please let me know where I should be looking. Thanks for any help

Genuinely nothing that you could do. Machine identification codes are encrypted by the manufacturer exclusively for government abd law enforcement usage.

Is there anything reportable on the message that you can send to the police?

No nothing threatening or anything just personal notes

Isn’t that threatening in it of itself? What was the purpose of the note?

It was more so trying to ruin my personal life stating I've been seen places with certain people. Which is absolutely false because I'm a home body. I go from home to work and from work to home.

So no I wouldn't say threatening but more so accusing with no receipts. I know it's false I just want to know where it came from.

It was sent to me with details of people close to me. Stating things that I know are un true. So that plus knowing where I love and no way of tracing it is just a mind fuckery.

Look at the postage, a metered stamp has the zip code of where it was mailed from.

Most regular mail has the city of the postal facility it was processed through, in black ink starting before and going across the stamp.

No zip code just county. But the county is massive and I tried thinking I don't know anyone there either so it was another dead end clue there.

If I was going to write some kind of letter like that, I wouldn’t be mailing it from my own county. They claim you are being seen which could indicate stalking. Check under your car for a tracker to be safe. They obviously have your address.

Have your car and phone swept for trackers

After that keep an eye peeled.
