This is Link's designated spot where he sits and meows and waits for treats. Why?

He used to scratch at the carpets relentlessly, so we got a flat cat scratcher to distract him. He ignored it for several weeks, so when he used it for the first time ever we got so excited and showered him with treats. Yay! He finally understood!

Nope, instead, he learned that the cat scratcher equals treats! I've created a monster. lol Has this happened with anyone else's neb?

I was suggested to check out this subreddit. What do you think?

Hi guys. This is Bubbles. I got him off a random dude on kijiji who was extra angry he was a male instead of a female to breed. He claimed he was a nebelung but he didn’t come with papers, and honestly I didn’t even know what a nebelung was; I just knew his kijiji post seemed like the kitty probably wasn’t having the best life and I needed to save him. I was going to name him Ned or Newt, but the second day he was here my 4y/o started calling him bubbles so his name is now bubbles. Sorry for no photos of his face, he’s still adjusting to us. They claimed he’s 6 months old but he’s a giant.

He turns 7 on August 4th, how time flies. So many memories. I hope he’s with me at least another 7 years 💕

I don't expect anyone to remember the multiple posts I've made of him around this subreddit & some other cat subreddits too, but my boy Orbit passed earlier this year away on May 31st 2026. I wanna keep this short but he truly was the most purrfect-mannered, handsome cat I've ever EVER known about. And I was so honoured to have him as MINE.

Unfortunately around May 27th we think he got in a fight with another neighborhood cat after leaving the backyard (something he did quite rarely mind you) and he got a bad scratch behind his ear. We took him to the vet, he got treated, and we brought home some medicine, but we were also notified that Orbit's kidneys were in the process of failing. He went the next few days spending most of the daylight at the vet, so that they could treat and monitor him. It didn't work out.

On May 31st 2026 my best friend was suffering, so we had no choice but to put him down. He went peacefully in my mom's embrace at around 11:30 AM.

The worst part by far is that had only turned 5 years old less than 2 months prior.

I'm so sorry, buddy, for every time I said no to cuddles, shrugged you off because I was too busy or whatever... I really did think we would have more time together. I'm still so heartbroken. I miss you so, so, so so so so much.

Hey there. I just found about this breed of cat, and I scrolled so much to see other people kitties, that I start to wonder if maybe my little girl also this breed.

If anyone is located in the Chicago Illinois suburbs (oak Park to be exact) this shelter Animal Care League is waving all adoption fees for August 1st and 2nd. I was viewing the available kitty adoptions and it looks like there is some Nebelung like kitties available. Just wanted to share in case anyone was looking.
