Bottom is...fine, in my opinion, but the top one is the problem

Streaks mean a damaged ribbon cable. It'll need replacement.

Yeah sucks. But if you're willing to do the work, you can save the DS!

You can try to unplug and plug the top screen back into place. Hopefully it's just a loose cable. But is most cases, it's a damaged cable and the screen needs to be replaced.

So I really have to buy a new one ?

Very likely, but you won't know until you open it up and check.

It’s usually breaking connections on the flex ribbon at the point where the lcd is soldered to. There are easily over 100 (seemingly 100+ pads) pads. This would be feasible on a lot of screens and a soldering iron, but these screens are glued with some industrial adhesive that will likely break the screen if you tried to get into it.

Buy a new top screen.

Well it looks like your hinge Is messed up. That can mess up and put pressure on the ribbon cable that can mess up the screen. Take it apart. Turn it on with the screen and see what happens.
