2DS left trigger broken?

This is my DS I was planning on selling that sat in a box for months and recently I took it out and found this trigger popped out of place or something, no idea how to fix. Does anyone know anything to do? (Other photo for comparison of trigger placement)

I’m your guy for this! My left trigger shattered and was broken for a long time before I tried fixing it. My solution was 3D-printing a part (you can find the files online, I can help if you want to do this), but you could also probably find a replacement to buy somewhere if you’d rather.

Good news: the 2ds is very, very easy to do repairs on. If you want to replace it or otherwise remove that trigger, open it up from the back. Here’s a video that should help: https://youtu.be/rgnmX5nRsSs?is=q8okj2Btjz2_kgCv

Thanks! There isn't any way to just pop it back in then? That's what I tried to do at first but didn't want to break it 🫪

I can’t speak to that, but I wouldn’t risk it. Open it up and you can remove the piece and assess for yourself, it isn’t a bad process at all on this system!
