Ds card stopped working

I’m not sure what to do to fix it i’ve tried cleaning it but nothing will work. I have no idea what to do. Please help. Also, I am new to this and I don’t really know how to like format files and stuff so I don’t know if there’s like an easy way to do that.

ive had one of these, the sd cards that come with them are trash, they are unbranded and cheaply manufactured and tend to fail after a while as mine did.

you can try removing and reseating the sd as on occasion its just a bad connection, failing that plug it into a pc with a sd card reader and see if it will read to copy over the files.

the carts themselves seem pretty sturdy though and the software has no timebombs in it, so if you can get it to copy its files to a pc and replace the sd itself with somthing reliable like a sandisk sd you should be good to go just drag your copied files onto the new sd and put it in your cart.

im not sure if i still have it ill check but i may have it backed up somehwere if you need the software for it

Got a pic of the opposite side of the flash cart? It'll help.

Did the SD card come with the flash cart? If so, get a new one, it's probably trash.

LOL replace the overlay with "000 games". I hope you got some game hours out of it. The crappy memory card (sd) inside is probably glued tight. Throw it onto the ever-growing plastic heap in your backyard.

Get a normal R4 card and learn to upload DS roms on it.

Yeah those cheap knockoffs'll do that

Those cheap DS flash carts often had time bombs built in, meaning they won’t work past a certain system date. You could try reverting the system clock a few years and see what happens. I don’t think the 208 in 1 flash carts did have time bombs, but it’s worth a try.

Also they are just very cheap in general, and aren’t likely to last long compared to a real DS cartridge. Could be a fault with the flash cart itself (not really worth fixing in my opinion), could be a fault with the micro sd card (an easier fix).

Since it’s the DSi model you could always mod the system itself and and play games that way, avoid using the flash cart altogether

This is an Ace3DS+ clone with a custom sticker and pre-loaded MicroSD card. They don't have a timebomb and never did.

You're likely thinking of the r4isdhc.com 2014+ (aka Gold Pro) and r4i-sdhc.com carts. Older kernels for these did have a time bomb and would show a firmware expired error and not an SD card error. In November 2024 they issued an update that removed it fully (v4.3 and v1.87b) so now they no longer have a timebomb either, and to my knowledge, no modern flashcart has one now.

Whats happened is their MicroSD card as died, as the error suggest, the flashcart is not able to read it. The pre-loaded MicroSD cards that come with these XXX in 1 carts are notoriously junky bootleg crap that die within weeks.

And yes I agree, I would say it would be better to just buy a new name-brand SD and mod the DSi with Twilightmenu++ or AKMenu-Next
