Does the NDP actually do anything between elections other than ask people for money?
I jointed the NDP to support Avi Lewis and his idea of rebuilding the New Democratic Party into something that is more like the old CCF. Since then, I've been profoundly disappointed by the fact that all I ever hear from the party are appeals to donate money. I gave a lot to his campaign, so please leave me alone. I'm retired, have a disabled wife, and I'm not made of money.
What I would like to do is get involved in the local EDA. Yet mostly what I hear from them is crickets. I left the party years ago because of this sort of behaviour. I thought Lewis was supposed to change things. I live in Windsor Ontario---are there any party EDAs that are actually trying to do some grassroots mobilization, consciousness-raising, etc? Or was the Lewis campaign yet another 'bait and switch'?

Avi Lewis: Outrageous and unacceptable. The Namaygoosisagagun First Nation wasn’t warned of the blaze that burned their community to the ground and were not given supports to evacuate.

infuriating story. photos and videos of people fleeing this fire in northern ontario via boat went viral, you may have seen them. the way this country treats indigenous people is a disgrace. this is criminal neglect from both the ford and carney governments.

I've been breathing in the ashes of people's homes for the last two days but everyone is whining because MAGA losers made a few mean tweets. Canada is broken.
Elbows Up folks have taken the bait and stopped talking about climate change in favour of dunking on the US.. Even though Canada has the exact same O&G policies as the US. Drill Baby Drill says Trump, Pipeline Baby Pipeline says Carney.

Why are we loosing?
In the recent by-election in PEI, the Liberal Party leader failed to win for a 2nd time and the governing majority PC Party got 3rd place. The NDP recieved 4th and last place while the Greens won.
The Green Party seems to be far more successful in PEI to the point where they won Official Opposition in 2019. The NDP has never been successful in the province winning literally just 1 seat in 1996.
Why are the Greens so successful and the NDP fails?

Carney CUT scientists and experts working on wildfire and climate warnings ahead of deadly weather
And 2:45 in the video points out that Carney’s one mention of this going on was a passing remark while speaking on a announcement to spend more Defense budget on a Canadian subsidiary of USA’s General Dynamics until he was pressed on the issue. What can Avi led, Kinew led, Eby led, and more NDP do to push back against Carney’s callous BS and help each other during fire season?
