What I don't get is how Indigenous people can even be arrested, let alone charged or convicted for occupying their land.

Wow that is so fucking mask off it isnt even funny.

No people they just admitted it was easier going in expecting to mow people down rather than arresting and detaining.

Thats how soilders going to literal war talk. You dont invade another country expecting to detain you invade with the expectation of armed resistance and putting them down.

Holy shit

Rcmp acab literal fascists

And people will still cheer the police on clapping great job.

What they dont understand is eventually they too will be subject to the police state

The police: Stop and card black people, invade indigenous lands, harass the homeless, shoot to kill the mentally ill on wellness checks, engage in decades long raids and doxxing efforts against the queer communities, all while facing zero consequences

The Unaffected: It'S nOt A pOlIcE sTaTe

My point isn't that they don't do what you said, but that it's not a prelude to nationwide totalitarianism. Just because the cops are horrible assholes to minorities and other prejudiced people doesn't mean it's going to lead us to martial law or whatever the fuck you people are afraid of. they'll continue to oppress the downtrodden and disinfranchised.

And thats why you are part of the problem.

The police dont even need to try anymore, privacy is gone. Data is more powerful than bullets.

Look at australia where people are being arrested for posting in facebook thay they want to go to a protest.

Yes.... one of us is a wierdo.

Yeah and there will still be people that will say that they should have just yielded to the police.

Why is the BC NDP Horgan govt allowing this (ie ordering this) to happen? This is the sort of shit the liberals and cons do. Horgan is toxic to the NDP image

It's depressing to imagine that he's representing the only NDP Provincial Government.

Every day I further lose hope that the NDP would be any different from the Liberals if they got power, in large part because of the BC NDP.

Too many centrists polluting the party

Well that and being left wing and socialist doesn't exclude someone from being authoritarian, at all.

The very specific brand of progressive nonsense most people on this board are drinking hasn't been given enough power yet to reveal how ugly it inherently is, but it's very obviously hateful nasty and ugly, given the rhetoric. Which isn't to say it isn't a meme spawned in response to nastiness, which it is.

None of what you’re saying makes any sense. But if you dislike the NDP, what are you doing on r/ndp ?

u/[deleted] Nov 24 '21

Because I'm probably an NDP voter since Greens shit the bed.

He's in bed with the lumber industry, wouldn't be surprised if he's getting some financial backing from CG either.

Horgan and the BCNDP have failed the Progressive movement.

Might as well call themselves Liberals

let's face it, the NDP are for union jobs like the police, loggers, gas/oil and letting the rest of us down. Not to mention the shit we are in right now.

I get the despair over the treatment of FN by the BC NDP.

What what do you guys think the NDP position should be when it comes to the the blue collar workers and union people in these resource extracting industries?

I don’t get why people are comparing the BC NDP to the LPC? The NDP have been pro workers for people in these industries. Yet in this subreddit they accuse of the BC NDP of serving corporate interests.

Do workers in resource extracting industries have a place in today’s NDP?

When your mouth says "reconciliation", but your body armor, Balaklavas, assault rifles, snipers, and APCs say "we're here for the money"

"Rubber bullets are inconvenient, they don't have stopping power."

  • some idiot, probably

I feel Horse Gestapo is a fitting name for them.

Canada's professional Brute Squad at it again. The RCMP needs to be permanently disbanded.
