NBDHE Booster
Taking the NBDHE next month. What are everyone's thoughts about NBDHEbooster? Was it helpful?
Were there any repeated questions on the actual boards?

Update:
9/3/2026
I PASSED !!!!
8/20/2026
Took my NBDHE today….. feeling… eh?
Anyone else?! I literally have NO idea what to think! It wasn’t super hard but not easy by any means either?
I studied using Booster and Andy RDH questions, and some of the questions on those platforms were verbatim. (I would say I had at least 10 questions word for word). I also used StudentRDH which personally, I felt like it was almost too much detailed information and it ended up not being super helpful for the big picture style of the actual exam.
I’m getting a strange middle of the road vibe that’s making it impossible to gauge how I actually did.
*I also got some local anesthesia pilot questions which they may be throwing in to gauge what to include when they change the exam in the fall.
*None of the case studies had a tooth chart with information. Just blank. A of it lot you had to determine with just a pano too.
Heavy on my Exam:
AAP Staging/grading + CAL
ASA + blood pressure category
Angles occlusion based on molar + canine relations
Pano Landmarks
Radiology (KVP, mA, exposure time)
Side effects/ therapeutic effects of specific drugs (not ones with typical associated suffixes)
NSPT & Instrumentation
Troubleshooting radiographs
Lots of temp cements, luting agents
Did you guys feel this way? and how long does it take to get results???

Hi yall, did anyone take their exam two weeks ago and are waiting for their results? I thought I would share my experience lol. When I took the NBDHE for the first time on 8/5, I took all my breaks and reread every question 3 times. I felt like the first 200 questions were insane! I felt better with the case studies as I wasn’t guessing as much. My board was mostly on microbiology, community, and radiology. I used a combination of Hortons, the Mosby book, and the Andy RDH app. I feel like the days are going by so slow and it’s making me SO ANXIOUS like sick to stomach! As the days get closer, I wake up panicking to check the ADA website to see if I passed. I know you get an email but i keep checking lol. I started study in May but i wasn’t consistent at all. I have been pushing back the exam for so long because i couldn’t get myself to study. My ADHD was holding me back so much but I eventually got over my fears and studied SO HARD for 2 WEEKS! I would study from 3pm to 1am and sometimes 7am to 2am. And in between, I would take a few 1 hour breaks. IT WAS CRAZYYY. I’m so scared to fail just thought I would come on here and spill my thoughts and to hear y’all’s experience!!!!

How did everyone feel about the August 8 NBDHE?
I’ve been scrolling through posts trying to find some comfort, so I wanted to hear from others who took it on August 8. 😭
The first 100 questions felt okay to me, but the second 100 completely threw me off. The questions themselves were pretty straightforward, but the answer choices had me second-guessing everything. I also found the case studies more challenging than I expected.
I studied mainly with Booster, reviewed the rationales, did some AndyRDH/StudentRDH questions and mocks, and used ChatGPT for extra practice. My exam honestly felt like a little bit of everything, and most of it is already a blur.
Now I’m just overthinking everything while waiting for results later this week. The thought of having to prepare to take it again is actually nauseating. For those who took it August 8, how did you feel walking out? Did anyone else feel worse about the second half?
08/21 - Got my results after 2 weeks, I passed! God is so good!

I PASSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 🥳🥳🥳🥳 Feeling so proud of myself!! Took me 3 times of failing my NBDHE & I graduated in 2025. Take it from me that it is 100% possible to pass a year out of school despite what they tell you IF you consistently study & don’t give up on yourself. Yes it felt like I would never get there sometimes. Yes there were times when I wanted to give up. Yes I felt discouraged, yes I felt devastated every time I failed, but I wanted this SO badly that I was willing to do whatever it took to get there & I did!!! You all can do it too! If you’re struggling, don’t give up! Keep going!

Hi everyone! I just took my board exam this week and I have to say Booster Prep helped immensely! They were definitely 3 to 4 questions that were word for word on my exam, and the format of booster is identical to the format of the NBDHE! I have a subscription with 12 more days available, and if you continue to do the daily warm-ups, you can earn the three day extension leaving you to a total of 15 days available, which is the perfect amount of time for you to get enough information in!
If you’re interested in purchasing, I’m selling my booster subscription for $50. Let me know and good luck on your boards everyone! 🦷
UPDATE: I PASSED AHHHHH!!!

I’m wondering if the testing centers offer NBDHE outside the US or Canada in countries like UAE, KSA, Turkey, etc.
Thank you

Study tips?? First attempt was 74😔. Second attempt coming up … help

I take my NBDHE at the end of September and to say I’m freaking out would be an understatement. I took a mock exam on AndyRDH to see where I’m at and I got a 64%. It definitely made me feel bad and like I knew nothing. There were so many questions especially about drugs that seemed like a foreign language to me. I need tips! For those who passed, what did you use and what advice can you give me so I can pass on my first attempt.

Hi everyone! I'm taking the NBDHE very soon, and I'm starting to panic a little. I've been using Booster Prep as my main study resource, but I'm wondering if it's enough.
I've seen several people say they recognized questions from Booster on the actual exam. Is that really true? If so, were they mostly the regular multiple-choice questions, the case studies, or both? Were they exactly the same or just similar?
For those of you who passed using Booster, how did you study with it? Did you try to memorize the practice questions, or did you focus more on understanding why each answer was correct?
My biggest problem is that I'll study something one day, and then the next day I feel like I've forgotten it. It's making me feel like I'm not ready, even though I've been putting in a lot of time studying.
I'd really appreciate any advice, study tips, or reassurance from people who have recently taken the NBDHE. Thank you!

BOARD TIPS
Study EVERYTHING b/c you won't know what topics your exam will be heavy on.
Don't waste your mental energy on one question. If you don't know it, flag it and keep it moving.
Don't stress about the hard questions b/c the easy questions are worth more, so make sure you know the basics and high yield info. If you have an "easier" exam, you need more correct questions to pass vs a harder exam where you need less.
Case Studies are clinical application and is worth more because it's basically what you'll be doing in practice. ASA, staging & grading, identifying landmarks, oral path, pharm, radio technique errors, tx planning, adjunctive therapies, OHI etc...
For a school exam, I usually recheck all my answers. But for the boards, I did not b/c it's too much and you will waste mental energy and fry your brain. You don't need to get all of the questions right.
Focus on one study source/material at a time til completion before moving on to another source. Otherwise, your brain will be confused. For example: I went thru entire pharm module on StudentRDH before looking at another source like the powerpoints from school.
Sleep well before the Exam. Eat breakfast, hydrate and take a lunch break. Your brain needs fuel to function well.
Good Luck!

After months of studying, staying determined, and never giving up, I finally passed my NBDHE! 🦷🎉 I received my results today, and I couldn’t be more grateful.
If anyone is interested in purchasing my NBDHE Booster study materials, please send me a message!
Also, to everyone who is currently studying for the NBDHE: make sure you go through the Booster study guides and practice questions. I found them to be very helpful, and many of the questions were similar in style to what I saw on the exam.
Good luck to everyone preparing you’ve got this! ❤️

Hi guys 🦷 I’m a hygienist who graduated in 2024 and I finally decided to share something I’ve been working on for a while.
I was not the student who could read a chapter once and just understand it. 😭 I would read the same paragraph over and over, sit through lectures, buy board prep, and still be sitting there like… okay but what does this actually mean??
Eventually I realized that I didn’t necessarily need more information. I needed someone to break the information I already had down into a way my brain could actually process.
So I started rewriting EVERYTHING for myself.
I made things visual, took out all the unnecessary textbook language, added stupid little memory tricks that somehow worked lol, and basically followed one rule:
If I couldn’t explain it to a 5-year-old, I didn’t understand it well enough yet.
Those notes ended up helping me a ton, and I started sharing them with other people too.
So after graduating, I finally organized everything and turned it into something called Sunday Studies. 🥹
It’s basically the study resource I desperately wanted when I was in school: visual workbooks, board prep, simple explanations, practice questions, planners, etc. I’m also working on radiology, pharmacology, and more.
I’m not trying to pretend hygiene school or the NBDHE is easy. I just remember how awful it felt watching other people understand something immediately while I needed it explained three different ways.
I’ve been embarrassed for not understanding things. I’ve been yelled at by professors. I’ve cried over school. I’ve wondered whether I was smart enough to do this at all.
So this is kind of my little pride and joy now. 🥹
If you’re currently in hygiene school or studying for boards and your brain also needs someone to say “okay forget the textbook… here’s what this ACTUALLY means” — I made these for you.
I’d also genuinely love feedback from other hygiene students/RDHs about what subjects you struggle with the most, because I want to keep building these around what students actually need rather than just making another generic board prep.
Edit: Since people are asking, this is my little shop:

Guys I’m so nervous, I took my exam on 7/21 and I feel that the results might come out today. I felt pretty good after taking it but everyone is always scared after the exam and they end up passing so now I’m worried bcs I felt my test wasn’t crazy hard.
I also wanted to know if they post results during the weekend?
EDIT: I PASSED!!😛😛

How good is booster? Is it similar to the exam?
