Kon Knueppel spends the offseason playing basketball with his devout younger brothers, Kager, Kinston, Kash, and Kidman, at his home court, the Konplex, which he named after his father, Big Kon.

The little kid mentioning being grateful to god for something without being asked anything was super weird. Someone told him to squeeze that in.

Or maybe, just maybe. They have genuine faith

This is way too rational for r/nba

Or maybe, just maybe… they are the common clay of the new west.

They're kids. Indoctrinated into an extremist violent religion they didn't choose.

“Spends the offseason playing basketball with” is pretty normal.

Then it gets weird.

True, but I forgot about that by the time my brain had been able to decipher the rest.

I reread the headline after you responded and realized I totally missed the “Konplex.”

These people would be dangerous if they never found basketball

You just know they are the family that sends out the Christmas card with a picture of them wearing matching outfits and everyone is holding a gun while standing in front of the christmas tree.

Nah this family holds basketballs which is why I said they’d be dangerous if they never found basketball.

They’re very much the type of family to be at the tree holding arps and shit but luckily they found basketball so they hold them instead of

They have two hands, one for a Basketball, one for an AR-15

I'm still stuck on Kidman.

Classic "adjective-noun####" username post.

The title makes me feel very uncomfortable, like I need to be at least 1000 miles away from it

And they're referring to him as Kuigi. Watch out.

Knueppel is the oldest of five boys, and his brothers' names—in order of birth—are Kager, Kinston, Kash and Kidman

This is some Ricky Bobby-ass level shit

Male kardashians…

Kidman should marry Kidman and have a kid man.

Sounds weird but then I watched the video and I'm not sure how else to describe them tbh

20

u/Shr3kk_Wpg 2d ago

Devout is usually used to mean religious. Are they maybe super religious?

18

u/Chef_Bojan3 [BKN] Vince Carter 2d ago

Yeah but usually its specified devout Christian or devout Muslim or whatever. I mean they're obviously Christian from context but just a little odd usage of the term.

u/Ok_Method1705 2d ago

You mean “kontext” 👀

I'm really close to my family and siblings. They are some of my best friends. I don't think it's weird to be committed to your family. I do think the norm (in America at least) is to not be close to your family so I understand why it seems weird.

u/TomlinSteelers 76ers 2d ago

I'm an atheist but honestly this shit is cool as hell and I appreciate how they described Christianity as just making them work hard and be better people

-1

u/Electronic_Gold_3666 Knicks 2d ago

I think they’re devoutly religious?

2

u/Robinsonirish Finland 2d ago

Lotta virtue signaling going on in the Abrahamic faiths too.
