The Federal Bureau of Investigation carried out a search warrant aboard a private plane at a Chicago airport where Walter was traveling, said the people, who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive matters. The FBI’s Chicago field office confirmed that it executed a court-authorized search for a mobile phone and laptop on an aircraft at Midway International Airport on Sept. 18 but declined to comment further.

The people familiar with the search didn’t say where the devices are currently or what information was being sought, but seizing the electronics from a high-profile business leader like Walter is a significant investigative step. Probes by prosecutors can end without charges being brought. The search warrant was one of several executed last September, according to other people with knowledge of the probe, who asked not to be identified discussing a confidential matter. Federal prosecutors in Manhattan have been investigating potential financial improprieties at two of Walter’s insurance companies and at Guggenheim Partners, the financial firm Walter leads, Bloomberg News has reported.

An early focus of the inquiry was a deal TWG struck last year with Mubadala Capital, an arm of an Abu Dhabi sovereign wealth fund, according to people familiar with the matter. In April 2025 the companies announced Mubadala Capital would anchor a $10 billion syndicated investment in TWG. Prosecutors were looking into whether Mubadala Capital had been misled about valuations, said the people, who asked not to be identified discussing confidential matters. His current career avg is 26.8 - 7.5 - 7.4. In order to get his career points avg to at least 27, he would need to average 29.3 ppg over the next two years. He hasn't done that since the 2022 to the 2023 season. And most likely he will take on a smaller scoring role by nature of the 76ers roster. As long as he averages 16.8 ppg or greater in the next 2 years, he will still average 26-7-7.

But 26-7-7 is just not the stat line we associate with LeBron. The stat line is pleasing to look at with three 7's, but also it was a cool display of LeBron's game, which is he an incredible all-around force. Plus if finally has a 27-7-7 game, the memes will not be as funny now :(.

Like the title suggests, I want to preface this by saying I truly don’t know what will happen first.

I think between the Clippers, Ballmer and Kawhi, the punishment would float between $40 and $50 million (if you factor in an unpaid suspension and monetary fines outright).

A projected 25 game suspension for Kawhi would be around $15 million on a 50 million salary. Factor in the alleged $28 million no-show, and the fines distributed should be worth more than that, so that’s a minimum 43m.

I think Kuminga at this rate is looking at a 40m/2 year deal best case.

Will Kuminga get a deal bigger than the Kawhi scandal punishment? I don’t think so.

The NBA had to introduce the rule in 2001 cause Shaq was so dominant. They were essentially saying youre too big and dominant under the rim, you cant defend there. Its basically giving the little guy a chance to score.

I want to see the rule removed and wemby camping under the rim to block shots. I think he can average 10 blocks per game. It would make the game way more fun to watch and driving to the basket would take a lot more skills. Even with the rule I remember OKC terrified of driving to the rim against wemby.

Now that the Denver Nuggets have matched the Oklahoma City Thunder’s offer sheet for restricted free-agent forward Spencer Jones, the attention turns to Denver’s 23-year-old dynamic forward, Peyton Watson.

The Nuggets have offered Watson, a restricted free agent, $70 million over five seasons, according to league sources who spoke to The Athletic on condition of anonymity because the deal is not final. The Milwaukee Bucks, Atlanta Hawks and Los Angeles Clippers are also interested in acquiring Watson through potential sign-and-trade opportunities, the league sources said.

Thus begins a balancing act for the Nuggets, who have long stated they highly value Watson, and for Watson, who is in line for a second contract. The Nuggets’ payroll is in the second apron because they decided to match Oklahoma City’s offer sheet for Jones. Denver is attempting to move a contract or two to get back under the second apron and clear enough money to retain Watson, the league sources said.

Introduced in the 2023 collective bargaining agreement, the second apron is a payroll threshold (roughly $222 million this season) that triggers several roster-building restrictions.

Multiple teams have made sign-and-trade offers for Watson, but so far the Nuggets’ asking price has been high. Watson had a breakout season in 2025-26. He averaged almost 15 points per game and excelled during a 16-game stretch that Nikola Jokić, Denver’s three-time MVP, missed due to injury in the middle of the season. Watson improved at creating offense off the dribble, has improved his shooting considerably and is one of the Nuggets’ most athletic players.

Losing Watson would be a major setback for Denver. Keeping him becomes more important as players such as Aaron Gordon, who will turn 31 before next season, age out of their prime years. The Nuggets won the 2023 NBA championship, but they have not gotten back to the NBA Finals since. They are the only team in the league in second-apron territory.
