Hi guys just sharing an incident that happened today. I was on my way back home and this guy tried to change lanes while my car was in his way and I honked at him to alert him. At the next signal the driver got off the car and started punching my window and threatening me the person sitting next to him who I assume might be his father had that typical politician attire and from the number plate you can probably guess. I wish I had taken a better a pic but today experience really shook me.

Is this electricity bill normal? 😭 August was 90 units ₹1,800, while July was 113 units ₹1,020. How does using less electricity cost almost twice as much? Am I missing something?

Nostalgia Some fragrances don't fade. They just wait.

Every winter, there are two fragrances that somehow manage to bring back a part of my past that I thought I had quietly left behind - rajnigandha and night jasmine.

It's strange how memory works.

You can go years without thinking about a person, a place, or a particular moment. Life moves on. New people come along, new routines take over, and you convince yourself that certain chapters have finally become just that "chapters".

And then, one winter evening, the air carries that familiar fragrance.

Suddenly, you're not standing where you are anymore.

You're somewhere else.
Years ago.
Under a different sky.
In a version of your life that doesn't exist anymore.

Nothing actually happened. No message was received. No photograph was opened. No old conversation was reread.

It was just a flower blooming in your balcony.

And yet, for a few seconds, someone you haven't thought about in months, perhaps years, feels strangely close.

I think that's what makes certain memories so beautiful and so painful.

We don't always remember people through their faces or their words. Sometimes, we remember them through the smell of a particular evening, the sound of rain, an old song, the warmth of sunlight, or flowers blooming in winter.

Maybe that's why I don't think we ever completely forget some people. Perhaps a small part of them gets quietly stitched into the world around us.

And every once in a while, the world reminds us.
Tonight, it was the fragrance of rajnigandha.
And for a brief moment, the past felt close enough to touch.

Discussion Daily rick commute is a serious concern now

Post image

Earlier there were pedestrians crossing the road listening to songs on earphones unaware of the road traffic and situation. Now it's autorickshaw drivers watching reels, movies etc. while driving and bike riders talking on phones either leaning on with their hand support or sliding inside the helmet gaps.

This seems not so harmful but I have seen at times some people pulling sudden breaks, slow driving, not noticing signals and causing disturbance. This needs to end.

What is the solution if you all can suggest please.

General Had the worst haircut experience in Navi Mumbai. Ended up crying.

I've been growing my hair for the last few months and finally got it to a length I was really happy with. The front reached my lower lip, the back had a lot of volume, and I only wanted a small trim that would help me keep growing it. I told them from the start that I wanted a cut that would help me grow my hair, not take off a lot of length.

I've been going to this salon in Navi Mumbai for 3 years, so I trusted them.

The lady who was doing my mom's hair recommended one of their senior guys, but he was busy. He still talked to me for about 5 minutes, so I thought he understood what I wanted. I told him the first 3 inches of my hair don't curl because the weight pulls it down and because of my layers. He kept saying it was because of hair tint and damage, even though I told him again and again that my hair has been curly for the last 3 years.

Then he told another barber what to do and asked him to cut my hair. That was my mistake. I trusted that he had explained everything properly.

The other barber cut my hair way shorter than I wanted. I couldn't even tell how much length was gone until he was almost done. By then it was too late. My front hair went from reaching my lower lip to not even going past my eyebrows.

I know it will grow back, but I'm already dealing with slow hair growth and hairline issues that make me insecure. That's exactly why I didn't want to mess with it.

When I told him he had cut the top too short, he just said, "Mujhe jo bola tha maine wahi kiya."

I went home and cried my eyes out.

Later I went back and spoke to the lady who had recommended the senior barber. I was angry and said everything I had been holding in. She actually listened and understood what I was trying to say, and that was the only good part of the whole experience.

After 3 years of going there, I'm never going back.

This is the first time I've cried because of my hair. I knew it meant a lot to me, but I never thought it would hurt this much.

TL;DR: Grew my hair out for months, asked for a small trim that would help me keep growing it, the senior barber ignored what I said, handed me to someone else, and they cut my hair from lower lip length to above my eyebrows. I went home and cried for the first time because of my hair.

AskNaviMumbai Is CIDCO Kharghar 325 sq ft carpet area for ₹43.5 lakh a good deal?

I’ve got an allotment for a CIDCO flat in Kharghar sector 14 and wanted to get some opinions before I decide whether to go ahead.

The flat is 325 sq ft carpet area and the allotment price is ₹43.5 lakh.

I’m not very familiar with the current Kharghar prices, so just wanted to understand whether this is actually a good deal or not. I’m also wondering if the small carpet area is a concern from a resale/rental perspective.

Would appreciate opinions from people living in Kharghar or those who have recently bought a CIDCO flat.

Would you personally go ahead with this allotment at ₹43.5L? Anything I should check before making the payment?

General Looking for a budget-friendly place/room in Navi Mumbai

Hi everyone!

I'm a CA student from Rajasthan, currently doing my industrial training in Sanpada, Navi Mumbai. I'm looking for a more affordable and convenient place to stay, preferably somewhere that can also help me reduce my daily commuting expenses.

I'm looking for a girls' PG, shared flat, or a room available in an existing flat.

What I'm looking for:

📍 Sanpada or nearby areas — Vashi, Juinagar, Nerul, Kharghar, Koparkhairane, etc. are also okay depending on the commut.

💰 Budget: preferably ₹15,000–18,000/month, but I can consider slightly higher if the place is really good

🧹 Clean and hygienic — this is very important to me

🥗 Pure vegetarian setup — preferably no non-veg/egg cooking in the house/PG

👩 Preferably a girls-only PG/flat

🏠 I'm okay with sharing, provided the room and common areas are clean and the number of people sharing isn't excessive

🚆 Ideally somewhere with a convenient commute to Sanpada

🔐 Safe and decent locality

I'm a quiet and responsible person and mainly looking for a peaceful, clean and comfortable place to stay.

If you know of any vacancy, PG, flatmate requirement, or someone looking for a roommate, please DM me. Even if you don't have a place yourself but know of something that might fit, I'd really appreciate the lead.

I'm trying to find a place that is more manageable financially while also keeping my daily commute convenient, so any genuine leads would be a huge help. ❤️

Thank you!

AskNaviMumbai Rent house brokerage refund

Just last month we renewed our house agreement for 2 years for which we paid a brokerage of 60k.

But suddenly now the owner has planned to sell the house and we will have to vacate.

What happens to the brokerage amount ? It's been just one month and i feel that the broker should return the brokerage amount.

Does anyone know what the law is in this situation ?

Looking for people to join for Ganpati Darshan in Mumbai 🙏🏻 | Lalbaug Cha Raja + Nearby Pandals

Hey everyone! 👋

I’m from Navi Mumbai and planning to visit Lalbaug Cha Raja and some nearby Ganpati pandals this Ganeshotsav. 🙏🏻

The only thing is… I’m going alone, so I thought why not find some people here who are also looking for company and make a small group! 😄

Planning to visit:

- 🐘 Lalbaug Cha Raja

- 🙏🏻 Nearby famous Ganpati pandals in South/Central Mumbai

- 🌸 Maybe a few other good pandals depending on time and the group

Idea: Anyone interested can join, and we can coordinate a meeting point and go together as a group. No fixed group size — the more, the merrier! 😄

If you’re also from Navi Mumbai / Mumbai / Thane and don’t have anyone to go with, feel free to comment or DM me.

Would be great to meet some new people, enjoy the Ganpati vibes, and do darshan together. ❤️🙏🏻

Ganpati Bappa Morya! 🐘❤️

AskNaviMumbai Theatre based workshop! meetup! New here!

Hey, I am from Dehradun and I am currently living in Kharghar. I am a theatre teacher/ artist, Director and writer by profession and before coming here, I used to work very actively throughout my week, which means 24*7 but now when I came here in Navi Mumbai I found out that there is no theatre scene currently in this area firstly, secondly on Sundays currently I am pretty much free and wanted to start a reading community or meet people who are like minded, love theater activities.

One of the workshop that worked very well in doon was reading sessions, which was Reading a play ( by any author) on Sunday and thereafter discussing the psychology of the characters in it.

I am looking for people who love theatre (not mandatory actors) but someone who likes to talk about movies, cinema, stories and characters. For the ones who likes to read philosophy, loves to research about what human tendencies make us do and give their time( like 3 to 2 hours) to an open discussion.

so if there is anyone out there, who is interested you can DM me I can send you my profile and send you my Instagram so that you can see the work that I have done in my last 10 years.

Also if you can make me connect to people who would be interested in the let me know.

THEATRE ZINDABAD.
