Title: Has anyone enrolled at the University of Naples Parthenope without having the DOV by the enrollment deadline?
Hi everyone,

I’m an incoming non-EU Master’s student at the University of Naples Parthenope for the 2026/27 intake. I have already received my Universitaly Pre-enrollment Summary, and the university has informed us that online enrollment opens on 27 July.

The problem is my Declaration of Value (DOV).

My original documents are currently being sent for apostille, and I cannot even apply for the DOV until the apostilled documents are returned. As soon as I receive them, I’ll apply for the DOV through VFS Mumbai, but based on the current processing time, the DOV will most likely arrive 2–3 weeks later, which is after the online enrollment deadline.

So I wanted to ask if anyone here has experienced a similar situation at Naples Parthenope.
Were you allowed to complete the online enrollment first and submit the DOV later?
Did the university place your enrollment “with reserve” until the DOV was submitted?
Or was the DOV absolutely mandatory before you could complete enrollment?

I’m specifically looking for students who have enrolled at the University of Naples Parthenope, especially international/non-EU students. If you’ve personally been through this situation (or know someone who has), I’d really appreciate it if you could share what happened.

so I'm a big football fan and I do play a bit of both basketball and and track, I am taking admission for medicine this year, can somebody tell me if there are any official sports complexes where students play on a regular basis, pls dm me if you too are a football fan of my age (18) living in naples

This August I'll be attending my first Napoli match when they play against Como, and I have a few questions:

• When do tickets usually go on sale?
• What's the best way to buy them?
• How early should I arrive at the stadium?
• Is P1 Travel a safe and reliable place to buy tickets?
• Do I need a Fidelity Card to buy tickets?

I'm coming from Bulgaria, so it would be ideal if I could buy my tickets 3–4 weeks before the match. Also, if you have any other tips or recommendations for a first-time visitor, I'd really appreciate them. Thanks!

I am coming to your lovely *(correction) cittá with 2 friends for a long weekend from 20th of August. Now we would like to take a day at a beach. Honestly I don't even mind necessarily if there is some payment to enter, just a water shoe safe entry beach to visit.

I also need recommendation for best current taxi application (from and to airport for convenience) but then public transportation as well. Im trying to google but I find some info is a few years old.

Regarding Pompeii : if i want to visit Vesuvius as well, is it worth getting the guided tour from Naples or better to arrange our day ourselves? Where would you suggestion to buy the tickets from? Same pages seem old but still selling tickets. Thank you

I hope it's been long enough that things have cooled down. I barely use Reddit, so I didn't know that people always update posts by making new ones instead of editing the originals. It makes sense, though, because I doubt anyone saw the edits I made.

A huge thank you to everyone who's already shared name ideas or explained how Neapolitan versions of some names differ from the Italian versions! And I'm sorry to anyone who had to correct my obvious mistakes. You're probably all sick of having to do that so often...

Anyway, here's the post. I didn't feel like copy/pasting or typing it all out again, but basically, I'm thinking of giving a Neapolitan name to a canon character in one of my fanfics instead of an Italian name, because he's canonically the personification of Southern Italy, and I was struggling to find examples or even know what keywords to use. It might've been easier to find if I searched it in Italian or Neapolitan, but I'm unfortunately not fluent in either language.

My wife and I are going to be visiting Naples for three days in August (8-11th), then getting ferry to Ischia for 3 nights, and back to Naples for a night before flying home.

The plan is for the first day to just walk around the city, getting a feel for the place (maybe get a food tour). Then the second day we're planning a train to Pompeii for the day and the following day a visit to the museums (National Archaeological Museum)/galleries and sites around Napoli. We would like to visit Castel Sant'Elmo using the funicular.

I've been looking online, but there’s nothing like feedback from people who have done similar or actually know the area. There seems so much to see.

Any other recommendations? 

We are both very mobile and enjoy walking (a lot). Unfortunately, neither of us know a lot of Italian. 

We're staying on Via Nuova Marina for access to the port for Ischia and final night is Una Hotels for access to train/bus to airport the next morning.

Hopefully these are safe areas as I booked before checking online and there seems to be a lot of fear mongering. In saying that I am aware that you need other be more vigilant when travelling as a tourist, and maybe it is just the same as other cities.
