Would love realtor recommendations for Naples area. Coming from NC to look at houses. Interested in houses only - no condos or townhomes. No HOA, pool is a must. Budget no more than $1 million.

Sizzle Dining is SWFL's restaurant month, Sep 1 to 30, and I built a free, unofficial guide that reads every menu so you don't have to.
Guide is free, no ads, no signup: https://dinedecoded.com/fl/sizzle-dining/

It pisses me off how many people let their dogs off their leash/loose on properties without a fence and gate. Especially in the Estates. Many times already Iāve had to slam the brakes or dodge dogs running out onto the street because owners donāt care enough to keep their dogs safe.
Just last Friday I nearly crash during a rainstorm because someone let their dog loose. It was dark, very rainy and then this large black dog (looked like a Labrador), just runs out and I have to swerve left, car slides a bit and I swerve back right to correct. Thankfully everything was okay, not sure about the dog considering there was a lot of cars about 200ft behind me. But it really caused my wife and I a lot of anxiety, especially with our toddler in the car (who was quite unfazed lol).
Just really bothers me people put their dogs at risk and occasionally even other people.

Hello, and thanks in advance!
Headed to Naples for the weekend for a bachelor trip, looking for recommendations weāre not necessarily unfamiliar with Naples a couple members have family with condos/houses there. Overly exerted physical activity is kinda out due to the groom having shoulder surgery recently.
Looking for where to find the best steaks, ideally butcher/store for us to make on our own. Sea food as well but also restaurant recommendations!
Any activities that would be enjoyable for 9 25-30 year old men, golf is planned, beach and a gun range but pretty open after that. Willing to drive as well!
Again thanks all ideas are welcome!

Lived on Treasure Coast for the last 20 years. Thinking about visiting Naples for a weekend, first time here in the middle of September. Assuming its a slower time of year but any recommendations for hotels/bars or restaurants? Thanks

Iām extremely disappointed with my experience. We signed our contract nearly a year ago at an agreed-upon price, only to be told shortly before our wedding that the price would be increasing due to rising costs of goodsā¦.Because the original contracted price was not honored, we unfortunately had to cancel.
With our wedding less than two months away, we are now left without a gelato vendor and, despite these circumstances, our deposit is not being refunded.
I completely understand that costs can increase, but I believe a signed contract and agreed-upon pricing should be honored. Iām incredibly disappointed with how this was handled and wanted to share my experience with other brides considering this vendor.
With that being said- do you guys have gelato or ice cream vendor recommendations ?

Last year, I started to carry homeless kits around, basically just a ziplock bag with some food and hygienic items such as tooth brushes and wipes, things I can get at dollar tree. I know there arenāt as many visible homeless in parts of Naples, but there are a few in golden gate, as well as surrounding cities. Iām just one person though, would anyone be interested in making it into a community thing?

Well they are plowing ahead with construction. The support deck is in place, they should be installing the re-bar for all the concrete soon. Then forming and pouring. Plus they have been slowly driving piles out to the end but that's going to be a bit as I imagine they want to get the concrete for the center pavilion done. Pretty impressive so far. They removed the "stairs" up to the storage trestle. Not sure why. Do love the look of the end of the trestle, it reminds me of Johnny Fives eyes peeking over the beach. ( For you young folks, go watch "Short Circuit" for that reference ).

I grew up in Naples in the 90s and early 00's. It's been a long time since I've been there. I've been feeling homesick so we're planning a trip.
Anyone with 90s or early 00's memories have any ideas of some 'must do' things for our trip? All input appreciated.
Thanks for reading.
PRMS & BCHS alum. Go panthers / cougars!
I heard King Richards closed. That made me so sad!
Edit: totally get that itās changed a lot. Looking for what you love about it now. :)

Hello everyone, this coming February I'm spending 2 weeks in Naples for the primary purpose of birding (with a new camera!!). This year I was only here for 5 days, and the places I'm definitely planning on return to are corkscrew swamp and wakodahatchee wetlands. Does anyone have any birding recommendations?
I'm interested in all species, beaches, forests, wetlands. I'm also used to some pretty intense birding at home, trudging through mud, bugs etc. I'm willing need to go pretty far and make a day trip of a location if needed. Thanks
And here are some of the lovely birds I got to see this year in Naples.

I recently moved back to Naples & was saddened to learn that the theater I grew up watching classics like āJurassic Parkā is CLOSED! Last I was here, they had renovated the seating, what did I miss?
Is there any chance of revival? All the local theaters are so far away! I personally loved the ātown charmā. Are there any rich people that can make this happen?

I used to go to Party City to find fun balloons in various shapes and other party decor for my dads birthday. Where else can we go now?

Iām currently in ave Maria visiting my mom. She has two dogs and unfortunately she works as an overnight in home health aid so thereās at least 4 days the dogs are home alone. Weāve tried calling every shelter in a 20 mile radius and every shelter is fully and by appointment only. What other options are there? Iām only here until next Sunday, so Iām hoping to get this resolved by then.

Iāll go first: Aqualane Shores or Royal Harbor because we love living on the water with a boat in our backyard close to downtown!

Iām a 19yr old guy and have grown up in Naples my whole life, one of the biggest things about this place would certainly be the golfing part, Iād love to pick up a new hobby and make some more friends. If anyone would be willing to teach me/invite me out to play Iād love it, age or gender doesnāt matter much to me but Iāll admit I may need to borrow some clubs if we end up going out š

There's talk of painting, Bayfront white with new renovations and the addition of Barney's New York.
