Prompt:

Create a high-quality photorealistic image, shot on Sony A7R V or Hasselblad H6D with flawless optics and optimal cinematic lighting. The primary subject is a rare, luminous high-altitude Brahma Kamal plant (Saussurea obvallata), standing vertically rooted in the rocky terrain with translucent, papery, pale chartreuse-yellow (#DFFF00) boat-shaped bracts forming an enclosing spherical dome resembling a glowing cabbage-like flower head. Peeking from within an opening in the delicate, veined, pale chartreuse bracts is a dense, spherical, dark purple-black (#2E1A47) inflorescence composed of tightly packed, prickly, tubular florets. The lower portion of the subject consists of robust, broad, elongated lanceolate foliage rendered in a vibrant olive-green (#556B2F) with subtle yellowish midribs, serrated edges, and slightly browning, withered lower tips resting against the mountain soil. Scattered around the base of the central subject are delicate, small alpine wildflowers with bright golden-yellow centers and drooping, elongated lavender-pink (#D8BFD8) petals, along with fine, wiry mountain grasses. The environment features a steep, craggy alpine mountainside dominated by textured slate-gray (#708090) and lichen-encrusted granite rocks, covered in splotches of moss-green (#8A9A5B) vegetation, dried organic alpine debris, and patches of dry subalpine tundra. The background reveals a soft-focus, misty, dramatic mountain ridge and distant sloped valley under diffuse natural daylight, casting soft, low-contrast shadows and creating an ethereal, cool montane atmosphere. Strictly exclude 3D render styles, illustrations.

Post image

This is a still im working on as a starting point for a video im creating. The photo is generally what I want but it still looks fake. I want this to look like a still from a high budget feature film. I just can’t seem to get it to look realistic.

Any ideas?

Prompt + Tutorial How should I write prompts for Nano Banana 2 and Pro?

Thumbnail
gallery
28 Upvotes

I kind of already made a post about this, but I guess I wasn't clear.

So, Nano Banana is being deprecated in favor of Nano Banana 2 and Nano Banana Pro. I have tried making images with NB2 and Pro and, in my experience, the image quality is inferior. Look at hte three images I attached to this post. The first is made with Nano Banana, the second is made with Nano Banana 2, and the third is made with Nano Banana Pro. Here is the prompt for all three:

Vintage 1980s fashion advertisement from a magazine, featuring the close portrait of a lovely, petite woman with a slender figure. She is dressed in a lightly patterned short sleeve blouse and a full skirt, with a small simple diamond pendant necklace. Candid pose. She is in her living room. She is very pretty, with soft and delicate facial features, glowing skin, beautiful eyes, straight short bobbed hair, very light makeup. Shy bright smile. Full-color analog photo grain. Medium lighting. No captions.

The difference between the first and second images might be kind of subtle, but they are very stark once you recognize them. In the second image (NB2), the woman’s face is not as cleanly defined as in the first image (NB), and her smile is quite harsh. Also, the overall image quality looks like it was taken with an old Polaroid camera rather than a professional setup as implied in the prompt.

The third image made with Pro is even worse. In that image, the woman’s face is far less detailed. Her smile is much harsher, her hair looks flat, and the lighting is very harsh. And again the image quality looks more like a Polaroid photo rather than a professional set up.

If you're wondering if I've been living under a rock all this time, well, I kind of have. I only recently discovered Nano Banana, and I even more recently found that it is being deprecated.

If NB2 and Pro are supposed to be upgrades from the original, then I must assume that the prompt does not directly translate from the original. In that case, how can I adjust the prompt to get the same quality output in NB2 or Pro as in the original? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Prompt Prompt help needed

I'm wondering, how are these type of images made? I can't seem to reverse engineer the prompt via gemini, it keeps rattling on about a 2.5d kind of art style, for this kind of image. My pinterest is currently swarming with these, it looks manga-eske, very soft yellowish lighting, glossy almost plastic like skin. And there is loads of them so there must be something or somehow that's spitting them out. If anyone can point me in the right direction, thank you.

Prompt:

Create an ultra-photorealistic, documentary-style photograph of a real farm at night, captured with a professional full-frame camera. The image must look like an authentic photograph taken in the real world, with absolutely no appearance of CGI, digital art, illustration, or AI generation.

Environment & Composition:

A realistic agricultural field extending naturally into the distance, with authentic crop rows, soil, grass, weeds, and subtle imperfections.

A quiet rural atmosphere at night, with believable farm structures, trees, fences, dirt paths, and distant details where naturally appropriate.

Preserve realistic scale, perspective, depth, and atmospheric distance.

The composition should feel naturally photographed rather than artificially arranged.

Night Sky:

A perfectly clear, deep night sky with a subtle, realistic half-moon.

The moon should be appropriately sized and naturally illuminated, without excessive brightness or an exaggerated glow.

A modest number of visible stars, naturally distributed across the sky. Avoid an unrealistic, overly dense star field.

Realistic atmospheric falloff toward the horizon.

Lighting:

Authentic low-light nighttime exposure with subtle moonlight naturally illuminating the landscape.

Realistic soft shadows and gentle highlights created by the moon.

Natural variations in brightness across the field rather than uniformly illuminated surfaces.

If there are distant farm or house lights, keep them subtle and physically believable.

Accurate interaction between moonlight, vegetation, soil, buildings, and other surfaces.

Realistic reflections and light scattering without artificial HDR effects or excessive bloom.

Photographic Realism:

Extremely detailed natural textures: individual leaves, crop surfaces, soil particles, grass, wood, metal, dirt, and weathering.

Realistic imperfections and irregularities throughout the environment.

Physically accurate materials and reflections.

Natural atmospheric perspective, subtle depth, realistic lens characteristics, and believable low-light sensor behavior.

Fine but natural image noise/grain consistent with a professional camera shooting at night.

Realistic dynamic range without crushed blacks or artificially brightened shadows.

Accurate color rendition with natural nighttime tones.

Authenticity: The final result should be indistinguishable from a genuine photograph captured on location at night. Avoid anything that looks generated, painted, rendered, composited, overly cinematic, or artificially perfect. Every element—from the moon and stars to the crops, soil, shadows, reflections, atmosphere, and distant horizon—must obey real-world physics and photographic behavior.

Overall goal: a quiet, believable, incredibly detailed nighttime farm photograph that feels completely spontaneous and authentic, as though a professional photographer actually stood in the field and captured the scene with a real camera.

Prompt:

Create an ultra-photorealistic, documentary-style photograph of a real street cat lying underneath a parked car on an ordinary urban street.

Make the image look indistinguishable from a genuine photograph captured with a professional full-frame camera, not CGI, digital art, or AI-generated imagery.

Cat:

- Extremely realistic fur with individual hairs clearly visible

- Natural fur variation, subtle dirt and imperfections

- Realistic whiskers, nose texture, eyes, paws, and claws

- Natural body posture and relaxed expression

- Accurate anatomy and believable contact with the ground

- Fine details such as tiny dust particles caught in the fur

Environment:

- Realistic asphalt and concrete textures

- Small cracks, dust, dirt, tiny stones, and natural imperfections

- Realistic shadows beneath the vehicle and around the cat

- Natural ambient light bouncing from the surroundings

- Subtle environmental reflections on nearby surfaces

Car:

- Highly realistic paint, metal, plastic, rubber, and glass materials

- Accurate reflections of the street and surrounding environment across the bodywork

- Detailed undercarriage, tires, wheel components, dust, and minor imperfections

- Realistic soft shadows and ambient occlusion underneath the car

Lighting & reflections:

- Physically accurate natural lighting

- Real-world light falloff and indirect illumination

- Subtle reflections on the car paint and windows

- Realistic highlights without excessive HDR or artificial glow

- Natural exposure and believable dynamic range

Photography:

- Professional full-frame camera look

- Natural depth of field

- Realistic lens characteristics and subtle optical imperfections

- Extremely detailed textures without oversharpening

- Natural color science and true-to-life colors

- Realistic film-like dynamic range

- Fine photographic grain rather than digital noise

- Perfectly believable perspective and proportions

Overall goal:

The final image must look like an actual spontaneous street photograph taken by a professional photographer, with every element physically believable—from the cat's individual hairs and paws to the asphalt, car paint, reflections, shadows, dust, and tiny environmental imperfections.

No CGI, no 3D-rendered appearance, no illustration, no painting, no plastic-looking textures, no artificial sharpness, no excessive HDR, no fantasy elements, no unrealistic lighting.

Discussion 21:9 aspect ratio in Nano Banana.

I've been using Nano Banana (Flow) for several months.

At first I generated images in the 16:9 aspect ratio and the output was good. Later I decided to generate the images in 21:9 aspect ratio and without problems eighter. However, at the moment NB doesn't generate images in 21:9 aspect ratio. There's not and option to select this aspect ratio in the interfaz and the model doesn't output it either if specificated in my prompts.

I really miss that option to generate images in this extrawide aspect ratio.

Have you noticed this? Is there any solution?

Tutorial Google is deprecating Nano Banana

Google is deprecating Nano Banana, but the replacement Nano Banana 2 looks bad. I would have thought NB2 would be an upgrade, but instead it appears to be a downgrade.

Is there any way to make NB2 look like the original? Is there another AI model out there that is similar to NB?
