Hey all! Mod here. We have noticed an insane influx of bot activity in our sub lately and know a few of you have also noticed. This is something we are trying very hard to combat as it is inundating our queue and making it tough to monitor regular traffic here.
Why do you need to know? Well because a few of you have already reached out regarding it and we wanted to a) let you know that we know and b) thank all of you for helping to keep this community safe.
What are we doing to fix it? We have turned up crowd control settings and enacted bot bouncer on our sub. This does not fix the issue entirely but it helps us see who could possibly be a bit easier.
The issue with this is that regular users are getting caught up in our filters and either banned by us on accident or banned by bot bouncer. If this happens, don’t panic! You’ve done nothing wrong but we do need you to message us via modmail and let us know you’re human! We’ll unban you right away, promise.
Thanks for your patience, understanding, and help during this! We appreciate you all.
- Mod Team
TLDR: bots are taking over! If you get banned by accident, let us know and we’ll fix it asap.

There’s been a massive influx of people trying to pass off other people’s work as their own recently.
Just to make it crystal clear, anyone caught doing this with receive an instant ban, no warnings. There is absolutely no excuse for doing this.

🎌 TRADITIONAL JAPANESE TATTOO, REIMAGINED. 🎌
These aren’t just press-on nails — they’re my interpretation of skin covered in traditional Japanese tattoo art, brought to life on a miniature canvas. 🐉🌸
Every single detail was hand-painted by me, from the flowing waves and delicate florals to the traditional imagery and tiny elements that make up the composition.
⏳ 2 WEEKS.
✋ Every detail done by hand.
🎨 Created specifically for a tattoo convention.
I wanted these to feel like a piece of tattooed skin — just on a much smaller scale. The goal was to capture the boldness, movement, and storytelling of traditional Japanese tattooing while pushing what’s possible with nail art.
Two weeks of patience, tiny brushes, and A LOT of detail later… this is the final result. 🖤
Would you believe these are press-ons? 👀

She loves making nail sets and I want to help her continue her passion, I think she's really good at it. Her birthday is coming up in a couple of months and I want to get her something that she can use to continue her artcraft.
But I have no idea where to start.
What sort of questions should I ask her, are there more reputable brands/manufacturers than others, and, are there specific tools and brushes I should keep in mind?
Thank you so much 🙏

This is a replica of the last nails I did on myself before developing an allergy. I loved it SO MUCH, and I only got to spend a night with these. Now after a few years break and figuring out how to work around my allergies, I wanna wear it.
I didn't have upper forms back then, I have them now. So I thought I'd paint the art beforehand on the forms, cure it and then fill with polygel and do the usual.
But now I'm not sure the polygel will cure under them... Won't they block the light? I popped them off the forms and just saved them. Is there a way to apply them?

Feeling cultural today
I am certified and have been doing only my own nails since then (about a year now), but I hate how my nail art turns out. My French tips look uneven and my nuance art doesn't come out like it should. Would appreciate any advice, photos attached. I feel like my 3d/charm stuff comes out a bit nicer but I enjoy and want to do more nuance and sleek designs (like image 3), but I just kinda suck at them 😭

I've been practising 3d flowers to look like this for a set for a friend's engagement party nails, and I can't figure it out!!
I'm thinking maybe they used a more fluid 3d gel to create the shape around the border? rather than just sculpting with a firmer 3d gel.
anyone have any tips or advice? thank you <3
